Working at a record store in Hoboken is bad for you!

Recommended Posts

Today I got to listen to ELO's "time"

album and loved it!

THEN...

Someone threw on ALFIE

and guess what...?

yup..

I loved that too...

In fact by the time someone got

around to asking me if I'd ever heard

of THE HIVES I was already singing along

to the WHITE STRIPES.....

auuuuggghhhhGoooodNOOOO!

WHY?!!

Are they slowly brainwashing the electronic out of me?

De-programing my Beat driven beeps and boops out

of my brain with evil "Alt-" and "Classic"

rock?

Is there a way to defend myself?

Why do I crave to hear guitars and someone

singing right now...?

Please god..

oh please make it stop!

i completely hear ya on that maudy... lately i find myself letting winamp pick whatever it wants me to hear... whether it be dave matthews, outkast, goldfinger, nofx, dr dre, metallica, whatever...

guess you can't stick to beeps and boops all the time... its nice to hear people's passion in their music... not the electronic interpretation of it... sometimes :)

Sorry Joe..

I draw the line with

Dave Mathews...

I made it quite clear from the start

with these guys;

Any Mathews, Hooty and the Blow fish,

Springsteen or Bad Rap and I quit..

(I DO have my limits

ya know...)

oh, comon... you have to admit, as much as we all can't stand those damn, tree huggers, dave is a amazing song writer, and a talented guitar player...

i'll agree with ya on hooty, springsteen & bad rap...

daaa..

otay...

Let me throw on some

goochie shoes and

everything will sound better.

And Dave Mathews can blow me

Joey...I prefer David Gray

for whiney song writers..

(Or go listen to James Taylor

who D. Mathews is trying to imitate

on almost all his albums)

variety in music is ok. you don't have to listen to the same genres of music all the time - that's boring.

I agree..

And I think I have a wiiiide

taste in sounds..

But I think there is a difference

between liking "EVERYTHING"

and having "PREFERENCES"

to each his/her

own guilty pleasure

(Hell my girlfriend hates Breaks

and I hate her Kylie Menouge crap

but it's all good...)

I'm just busting on the indie-rock

scene in Hoboken..

and it's evil mind altering powers

that have made me wanna listen

to Alt-Rock again...

(Throws on the new COLDPLAY CD)

i don't know about you, but my preferences depend on mood. so maybe this mood will pass and you will no longer be threatened by alt-rock. and in the process gain a whole new appreciation for electronic music.

this is true...and not to mention the rest of the band on violin, & drums (amazing)...BUT I'm with Mugzy on this one....I think its Dave's voice when it switches octaves that gets to me....uggh...good musicians...but I can't stand them for some reason...and I've tried, including live shows...(actually they're good live...but after 30 minutes I get ansy)
