I've never been much of a red wine drinker....... I feel like it looks too thick... Am I wrong here? Should I try something? Any suggestions?!? Any suggestions?!? exactly- a lot of reds are very rich and heavy-lots of tannins and woody flavors- which is why I suggsuted it for thanksgiving -- Try a Merlot-- they are nice too -- just by themselves-- not too"thick" as you say

mala
I like many of the 'Bolla' wines. Valpolicella is my favorite. It has a very distinct taste...spicy almost. Their Merlot is good too. My reason for choosing Bolla, this and every holiday, is because it is priced moderately enough to buy as many bottles needed to subdue the family.
