About that castle in Essex County, if its the one Im thinking about its on top of the hill in a development off of Rt 23 called Park Ridge Estates In Cedar Grove. aim4night Posted March 3 Report Share Posted March 3 this place has been torn down ("95") and a target store is there now but it is right accross from menlo park mall. there used to be a asylum for crazy kids/teens. something happened and they stopped using the asylum.. it's right next to roosevelt hospital. the story was that the teens would still come back to the place and do weird stuff. people would drive back there at night and get out if their cars and go inside. i heard that some never came back out. a few times i drove their w/friends. there was a stretcher outisde and some other medica equipment. it looked really spookey. i got an eary feeling but also a feeling of something luring me to come back again .i live in bayonne and they used to have goats by the oil tanks. people still say they can see them on top of the tanks at night.also if you were born/raised downtown you have a red rash/birth mark on the back of your neck. aim4night Posted March 3 Report Share Posted March 3 i live in an appartment building which was built in the mid 1900's. the 1st weird thing about my appartment is that on the outside of my bedroom door there is an old latch type lock. my friends and family have all been spoked by that. i sleep w/my door open. they are afraid i can be locked inside. why is the lock on the outised and not on the room side?? 2 nd weird thing in my bedroom is that above my closet there is a small door and a tinny crawl space/closet space. it is only big enough to fit a child or a a small person if they sit down.my appartment is cold alot in the dinning room. sometimes my cats get freaked out in there. they are afraid. one night i went to look out the window in there and i felt someone/thing put an arm around me. i was puzzled but not scared. i live alone. People have said they have seen her in the cemetery. i heard that too...and the menlo park asylum was true too....I have seen ghosts when i was little in Vermont...He used to open the fireplace door and move furniture around...someone got shot in my old house it used to be the post office in late 1800's and then became a house...it had two front doors but we coulndt use the other,,,no one told me why....But crazy shit...I remember talking to it when i was small and not knowing if it was a goood ghost or bad ghost..i didnt want to offend it...but it was always cool with me...never scared me..I think it was a girl too...Ill never forget the time i walked up stairs to my room and the wall paper was different...I ran down and told my grandparents what it looked like and she got scared too...and later on when i was old she showed me the attic and it was the same wall paper as what i saw....she didnt tell me cuz she didnt want me to flip out...but it was real.... What we have is "Heart Beat Rd" aka Peace Valley Rd in Montville, Grey Stone or Over Brook loony binsCMG- as far as the Park Ridge Estates, that's just a big house not a castle or anything SpOoKy.
