quoth
yea it really is a shit line-up.Sonic Youth sure could use that $30 to re-launch their career but not from my pocket..correct me if im wrong but didn't they have some cool electronic shit go down a year or 2 ago like Roni Size featuring Represent and/or Tricky or some shit? kitty19
sometimes the free ones become a pain in the ass.the lines are ridiculous for the better shows and if you don't show up several hours before you get assed out.i say stick with the P.S.1 parties. free and much better music. Don't underestimate the music at summerstage. Some of it may not be things you would normally like, but trust me, it's amazing. They have spoken word, world music, electronic--all for free. I have never been dissappointed by a summersatge show (except bassment jax).Who GAF about the lines? Your young, its gorgeous out--there's always a 'price' and thats a relatively small one.ITS FREE MUSIC!!!

tastyt
Damn, I can't wait till they release the rest of the schedule. Summerstage is one of the best things about summer in the city!
loch
one man's shit is another fly's enviable heap of dung.summerstage does not specifically or uniquely cater to the clubbing crowd and electronic music, so i'm sure the general populace of nyc will disagree that it's a 'shit' lineup. i like the fact that the it spans across different genres.don't know about you, but i'll be there for the indigo girls and elvis costello -- about time he was inducted into the rock 'n roll hall of fame.
