im goin..

hard to say the headliners have 'fallen off' considering all the bullshit that went on behind the scenes the past few years.

derrick may put together this year's festival, without any sponsorship from the city (meaning.. there's no $300,000 budget to work with to book worldwide talent). besides.. most of this years artists are real-deal detroit artists.. being that techno was born there, consider this year's festival a return to the roots..

Yes it is. The headliners have really fallen off since the beginning. Has alot of good after parties.

most of the people i talk to that are hardcore techno fans think this is the best lineup yet.

just cuz you never heard of the names, doesn't mean they're no good.

it actually seems to me nowadays the less famous they are, the better the music is.

What I ment was that the first year alot of the lineup was people you heard of. With the whole Carl Craig thing, made alot of people mad. This year there isnt alot of headliners at all. Thats what I was talking about. I would rather see no names that are good than headliners that are no good.

most of these guys are the headliners of the past.. thats why most people dont recognize them.. even though they're responsible for gettin this whole thing going.. myself included, but i'm up for an education.
