vicman Posted June 30 Report Share Posted June 30 Originally posted by therunner Do you think the bar should be held liable? no. in neither case. i think the establishments responibility ends when you leave the premises. if a person wouldve died in the establishment or its property then yes, they should be held accountable. in these 2 cases the person who got drunk and unfortunately caused serious bodily injury and in some cases death to a third party is the one who should be held fully accountable. if you hold the establishment accountable then what would be next? would these establishments have to start policing their patrons on how much theyve had to drink each and everytime? that would basically mean a breath-alchol exam every single time you had a drink. then extra personel to enforce the new policy. When my friend got to the door, it was locked and the doorperson said that they closed early due to lack of patrons. what gives? will it shut down early this friday too if there isnt enough people?
