1. lets see...NYC has had Studio 54, Paradise Garage, Twilo, Tunnel, Limelight....and now Vinyl/Arc.

what does jersey have that is internationally known?

2. do you see Crobar, Avalon, and Spirit opening up in jersey?

3. jersey might have Rydell and Tsettos....but NY has DT, Johnny Vicious, Junior Vasquez, JP, Satoshi, Liquid Todd, Richie Hawtin, Low End Specialists, Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer, etc.

4. NYC has VARIETY! You can hear any style of music in NY clubs: breaks, techno, tribal, all types of house, trance, hardcore.....you name it, NYC has it.

id go for pre-guliani NY over NJ any day but now NY sucks ass...i moved to manhattan n although we get top dj's there is no vibe in the clubs...

the city's changed..everyone's from kansas n ohio...shit halfa brooklyn is recent midwest graduates posin as locals tellin there college bodies how cultured they are when they never venture west of billysburgh or north of harlem...manhattan lost its balls n brooklyn is gentrifications nex target..luckily nj has a shitty national reputation to keep these bland herbs from infiltratin nj's borders

u can call the shore cheese n play that elitist game but at least we nj'ers can let loose n have a good time without being over critical bout every lil fucking thing that aint perfect in a club

Wow what a waste of time. Ok once and for all Europe Rocks the US when it comes to Techno/Trance. Brooklyn, Bronx,Queen, LI, you shithead are not NYC so don't compare. If you're outside Manhattan you're just like Jersey.

Nuff Said.

Who has Corsten, Oakie, Tiesto, PVD? Not NYC or Jersey .

in case you havent noticed, we are talking about NYC vs Jersey, not about US vs Europe.

last time I checked, brooklyn, the bronx, and queens are a part of NYC. by excluding these areas, youre excluding long running events like PS1's Summer Warm Up and venues like the Lunaterium.

once again, this isnt a US vs Europe question. also keep in mind that the world doesn't revolve around trance music.

PVD and Tiesto stop by pretty often. we could use more of corsten though.
