I'm not sure of the exact age... but they say that there's a significant drop by the time we reach our late 20's. It's due to the fact that when we're born, we already have all of our eggs. Just like the rest of us, they age, and at some point are no longer as viable as they were during our youth. Maybe this is just another example of evolution lagging behind.
