i'd like to add kirsty hawkshaw. she would be my first choice.

Great choice. Her voice has an ethereal quality that I just love. I think its Hirkshaw though....

One of my absolute favorites is Sade.

Bjork is at the top of my list, great voice and totally unique.

Lauren Hill

Viola Wills

Alishia Keys

Sarah Maclaughlin (preferably remixed into dance music)

I like soul singers or angelic voices for the most part, so Opera singer hold a special place for me.

For classical voices I LOVE Charlotte Church. SHe has a clear natural voice. I have her Enchantment CD and its just incredible.

Also have Enya and Loreena McKennitt.

oooh, I love Charlotte Church!! like glass she sounds...I just really realy wish that a singer with an exquisite voice would go the route of Bjork, get experimental and make cutting edge music. I want more Bjorks! :D

I guess I have a different opinion....you want some sAnging.....check

Yolanda Adams....gospel but this chick throws it down. (No Way D Cox or just about anybody can out sing this women)

as for tops....Whitney, Mariah, Alicia Keys....and how can you not put Ella up there.

as for Toni....I cannot stand her overdone husky voice....does she have to sound the same damn way on every track.

OMG how could I forget Dido and Tori Amos? Amos has been a part of me growing up ever since Little Earthquakes...Silent all These Years, Past the Mission, Precious Things - when I hear the RITM song, I hear Tori Amos. That woman is pure, raw talent and emotion.
