dunemesis
ok so i rarely post on this but now i have something meaningful to talk about. So i call up crobar and they say there is no list for saturday. I get there around 12 and there IS a list and one bouncer goes up to the people on line and is like. your gonna have a tuff time getting in if your not on the list. F*ck that! So i got in eventually and whats all this hype about this being a HUGE club. This club isnt half the size of exit. You guys better change your party for your own good. The sound system is good but this vanity fair party sucked. I dont enjoy seeing a bunch of transexuals doing vogue on the stage but thats just me. Wheres the good music people??? Ill go back if they bring in names but all this f*cking talk on this forum of how great it is,is all HYPE. go there and see for yourself. Again this is just my opinion. you may love it. If you want a club to show off how hip you are and like dressing up or being weird then maybe this place is for you, but if you enjoy staight up music then this place isnt for you. All in all i stayed for an hour and a half and left for ARC. Chris Liebing ripped shit up!!! You want a dance club? NOW ARC is a dance club. my 2 cents. I'm not sure whether you have any preconceptions about heading out to Long Island, but you should try NATION in Commack, NY. Music rivals (and is probably better than) much of the music being spun at many NYC spots, the dress code is non-existent, and the vibe is incredible. DJ Rob James (Freedom afterhours / Amsterdam) is the resident dj, and drops the nastiest underground house all night long. These past couple of weekends, Anthony Nero, Mike Macaluso & Peter Bailey have been the guest djs. This upcoming friday night, Low End Specialists will be there. Give it a try. You'll have a sick time.

Yeah I agree. I was there on Thurs night and it was fun, but for the first few weeks they won't get any big name DJ's there to kind of feel out what works and what won't. I mean Calerone is the resident there starting soon, so there will be a HUGE gay and transvestite following...so that is expected. I also heard they are aiming to be a house club, no trance...Let the bottle service peeps run the place for the first month, then they will move on to some other lounge-of-the-month and Crobar can then bring the music in. jimk29
I was there Friday night, had no problem getting in and had a great time. What's wrong with the occasional tranny on stage? what's wrong with a bunch of fags in boas and glitter in their hair? That is what makes for a fun time... a diverse crowd!!The music was good, the place is fabulous, and all in all I say that they did a wonderful job!! vsoto212
I went on Sat at and it felt like the LYMELYTE back in the day. You had you drags doing their thing. It was a good diverse crowd. DAVE WAXMAN did an awesome job providing great music. The place is not as big as EXIT, but its a new stepping stone in NYC.Victor Soto
