ou812 Posted April 18 Report Share Posted April 18 3 to 4 times a week seems a little overboard for 1 muscle group I think. Calve muscles have similar twitch fibers to the forearms I think. I don't think the trick is to work them out several times a week. The trick is when you do them you have to hit them super hard. I actually do my legs once a week, but make sure I go hard and heavy to get a good workout. Legs are like the foundation to your body. Very important not to neglect them. I would work them out every other day.....Check out Arnolds calve work out in his encyclopedia.....if you want sick calves follow what he says......
