I think the majority of guys neglect them and focus on the upper body. So nice arms might be a dime a dozen, but it's not so often you find thick diamond-like calves.

thats what i think.

i been doing them about 3 or 4 times a week, and i see a HUGE diffrence now. just wanst sure if i am doing them TOO much

3 to 4 times a week seems a little overboard for 1 muscle group I think. Calve muscles have similar twitch fibers to the forearms I think. I don't think the trick is to work them out several times a week. The trick is when you do them you have to hit them super hard. I remember reading an article that Mike Matarazzo (the king of calves) wrote that since the calves are being used all day, the get acclimated to the stress, so in order to make them grow you seriously have to pound them to see results.

yeh that exactly how i feel about traps..since they're carrying around my big head all day...u gotta slam those things to get any growth

I do calves once a week and pund the shit out of them. I actually do my legs once a week, but make sure I go hard and heavy to get a good workout. Legs are like the foundation to your body. Very important not to neglect them.

Absolutely false....calves are like your abs...you can work them out everyday...although I do not suggest that. I would work them out every other day.....Check out Arnolds calve work out in his encyclopedia.....if you want sick calves follow what he says......
