DJ's from New York I'd have to say

1) Danny Tenaglia (without a doubt)

2) Roger Sanchez (Awsome live sets at his Plant residency at Centro-Fly)

3) Frankie Bones

4) Johnny Vicious

Only 4 for me personally, I'll give Junior Vasquez and Jonathan Peters respect, even though I'm personally not into their styles, got to give em respect for having an such an influence and huge following on NYC's club scene.

Thanks for the feedback. I know how much you all know and love NYC, however if you where on vacation. where would you rather be ? Which town do you all think has the livest vibe and most intense energy.

Ibiza

Miami

LA

Mykonos

I love Ibiza, but miami is where it all started for me. I came alive, when i visited that town. I will never forget the times i have spent there.

Ha hA

I have to agree with schwingep-but I have to add Johhny Vicious and Robbie Tronco up there too-I hate Deep Dish and all that...I don't even know what to call that genre of...trance-I heard them live once and I was literally falling asleep, leaning on a railing at a club.

Just had to post somethin to check PM's.

Good thread though. Is it me though or (aside from Tenaglia/Junior) is their not a mind blowing dj out their right now. Theirs alot of potential, Boris-Peters-Tsettos (yeah Tsettos), Viccious can be mind blowing but thats a whole nother post for another day. Somebody please light a fire under Boris's ass and make him blow it up CPI Memorial-Day style!!!

Its hard to have "A" mind-blowing DJ since people here like so many different styles. Different DJs move crowds in different ways...however, if you want to take a comprehensive survey (ie, "world-class" Djs) then you have to go with the European DJs. Well, you also have to include some amazing US talent (eg, Danny Tenaglia, Richie Hawtin aka Platikman). In terms of technical ability, John Digweed is just phenomenal!

Thank GAWD for Twilo!
