I see people in intensive care everyday that are dying I also see the psycho ones who are funny... and then!!..yesterday this lady wanted to beat me up cuz she liked my hair!! WTF?! The palm tree held its gound and knocked her out in 3 seconds. By the end of the fight, she had broken 2 of her fingers along with a few fractures. It's bad enough volunteering at the humane society. Every couple of months I have a emotional breakdown, and vow to not go back..but I always do. they need all the help they can get...Paxil please! techlab Posted August 21 Report Share Posted August 21 i used to work at Palmetto General.... never go there!Two really bad things happened when I was there:1) someone had the wrong leg apmutated2) a physican was arrested for raping patients while they were knocked out.he was eventually found dead in his office around the christmas holiday. i think he committed suicide. When my bf's mother was in hospice (for those who don't kno what it is - when u r terminal and there is nothing left that the docs can do its an option for a "comfortable death" they will not prolong the death process only make it comfortable) that sounded so creepy. We would kno when a patient passed on - very morbid place, you go there b/c ur gonna die soon. That was the deepest most emotionally rough experience of my life was to be there for her during the last week. They council the families on what the "death process" is like and what to expect - soooo fuckin creepy - I had nightmares for a while.
