  1. all original tracks....
  2. very interesting thing about shadow during its heyday... it was a saturday and of course acosta was spinning, there were a handful of well-known international DJs in attendance, along with rabid, sweaty fans... and slowly but surely acosta gradually trimmed the volume to complete silence at the break down of yakooza's "cocaine" and held it there for what seemed like about a minute and a half. it was an extended silent breakdown of song that already had too much of nothing in the middle of the song. the chilled air cascaded from the ceiling's built-in units. you couldn't see 2 feet in front of you. eventually, the bass break-beat slammed in at top volume and the place went fucking crazy. acosta had taken some very big chances when all other DJs were playing it safe, and, likewise, shawdow lounge took very big risks in the overall edgeiness of the club when other clubs were clueless. they always kept things very underground without losing their mass appeal.
  3. macfunk -- my firm is doing acoustic work for the metropolitan building. let me tell you guys about other massive projects that we're working on close to downtown that will change the skyline: QUANTAM a 60 story and a 43 story twin high-rise condo development near biscayne and 31st street. MIDTOWN MIAMI a massive city-within-a-city development with mixed occupancy (retail, offices, condos, clubs, restaurants, etc.) with heights ranging from 20 to 30 stories set around 33rd and Biscayne which will be about a dozen buildings centered around a plush area. They will also have trolley cars that will commute people around the area. BISCAYNE LANDINGS another sprawling high-rise community minutes from downtown. In the future, downtown Miamians will walk, bike, or taxi everywhere. The homeless will never leave, they will just be shuffled to another spot. There will be more police officers without squad cars, and the area will be one of the most desirable "24 hour" vacation spots. The club scene maybe going through a down period right now, but in a few years it will go through another cycle that will be bigger and better than anything South Florida has witnessed.
