dgmodel
if the e-brake fails then parking it in gear locks it in place...reverse is the best geart to leave it in unless youre on an uphill slant...
therunner
reverse is the best geart to leave it in unless youre on an uphill slant...werd. If facing downhill, place car in reverse and turn wheels toward curb. If facing uphill, place gear in 1st and turn wheels toward curb. fkornre
how often do emergency brakes fail????on a car when u use the e-brake often it is possible for the tension to start to wear and the e-brake become useless...also as barstar said if u park on a hill or a steep incline its best to use both the e-brake and parking it in gear... iamme
so if you parked your car on a hill, parked it in neutral, the e-brake fails, it rolls down and hits someone's car....would you be considered liable since u didnt park it in gear?
