Please see my previous post in response to an equally ignorant statement from earlier. Educated=Kerry hahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahaAcademics do tend to be more liberal. Thats what happens when you spend life in the library researching and teaching. Do you consider all your college professors to be more intelligent than you? If so, fine. If not, why would you rate all academics as more intelligent? The only stupid people are the ones who saw F9/11 and believed the lies, listen to Dan Rather for unbiased news, and think that this country is going to heal by raising their noses and spouting this "liberals are smarter and know what is better for you" bullshit. Its time to start bringing the 2 sides together. tres-b
Right on ! .....I like this country alot , but sadly I can only handle about 50% of the total population ....the other 50% i rather not say . & young people messed up big time ......only 1 in 10 ,eligable 18-24 year olds voted , truly a pathetic number ! .But this is always the % of young voters who turn out. It is the way it has always been. Neither party is able to really harness that block and get them mobilized. I would love to get more out there voting but it is the responsibility of parents to show kids how important voting is to the US.My mom took me to vote with her in 1984 when President Reagan ran for reelection. I have never missed a vote for president since I was eligible.
mursa
When you live in reality, a somewhat more conservative view of the world develops..The world is not a conservative place , it a ever changing dynamic/progressive stage .......only redneck idiots who never missed sunday church service nor left the continental Us would think so . tres-b
The world is not a conservative place , it a ever changing dynamic/progressive stage .......only redneck idiots who never missed sunday church service nor left the continental Us would think so .Your view of my statement is too narrow. It is nice to sit in a room and say "man, lets set up a society where everyone gets the same $$, a job, food, and no one will go hungry". Now you and I both know that this utopian society would fall under the definition of socialism. Socialism was embraced by intellectuals around the world when Marx put pen to paper to immortalize his view of what society should be. Now how did that work out? Pretty poorly.Everchanging and dynamics has nothing to do w/ liberal or conservative. Conservative does not mean inflexible. The redneck idiot comment is below you Mursa. Im writing it off to post-election anxiety. BTW, how did the oven thing work?

BTW, how did the oven thing work? It's not a matter of everyone being in total economic equality , but rather not have the economic classes so polarized as they are today ......... The rich get richer and the poorer get poorer , Im not into that ,and thats what i see nowadays . ...im at ease and ain't axious at all , You reap what you sow , thats my frame of mind right now ..ps..... the oven thing didn't work , shit melted ...oh well . sobeton
The world is not a conservative place , it a ever changing dynamic/progressive stage .......only redneck idiots who never missed sunday church service nor left the continental Us would think so .the problem is most americans don’t view the world in its totality. it is one thing to comprehend world history, it is quite another to be able apply the same in a practical manner. the world does not revolve around the US or its ideology. the sooner we understand that, perhaps the more serene the world will be. You must be a Bush supporter....The comment I said about the people who like to think, and who are educated go for Kerry is based on where the Kerry votes came from. Just by looking at the states who voted for him is where many people who like to move ahead, be progressive tend to live. Why do you call the people who saw F9/11 "stupid"? The statements made in that film are TRUE because Michael Moore can back them up with FACTS, documents, etc. and you find it hard to believe that it can be true? Easy to say when someone has you figured out "oh it's a conspiracy, lies". I knew about most of the stuff in the film before I watched it.Dan Rather for unbiased news? I can't say because I don't watch him, but what you watch on Fox News is definately the truth! At least I agree with you in the sense it's time to bring both sides together
