Seaside cant even get a big named hotel chain...the only one they have is a cheesey Holiday Inn in Toms River. Seaside is a 'kiddie paradise' and caters to the younger crowd and it's the younger crowd that wants to hear 'bar' music (rock classics, hip-hop, cheesey club anthems). Seaside cant even get a big named hotel chain...the only one they have is a cheesey Holiday Inn in Toms River. Seaside is DONE!!...that was exactly my point....don't give a shit who spins cause i have no intention of hanging out with high school kids puking on each other...... ...the town is gross...the overall class of people who stay there is repulsive ...minus the few who still hang on simply because it is close to tempts merge etc...it's over....let sleeping dogs lie........good things come to an end..... prettyricky Posted December 10 Report Share Posted December 10 Joe,All 3 of the Dj's you name will not bring a big enough house crowd on a weekly basis....either one should be the resident dj all the time...but they'd have to play hip-hop unfortunately to get a crowd every saturday and Sunday...what they should do is guest spots once a month with a name dj that plays house music all night long...like on the last weekend of the month...since the closing time in Seaside is rather late for nj....you could bring in a Morillo, Dirty Sanchez, Robbie Rivera...Names that are big enough to draw a large crow but, won't cost a fortune to do it...What's your thoughts?that just goes to show what you know, last time Teo had a residency in Seaside it was at XS and it was the first time ever, before this summer, that XS did better numbers than Tempts!!!!! Denny was great at tempts but there were other succesful DJs there before him who also had lines around the corner. I dont think any of it has anything to do with Denny. I think it has more to do with seaside. No one wants to stay there and who wants to go driving any distance at 4 am and risj a DUI. If tempts wanted to get some more of a crowd in maybe they should reduce the admission or have no cover at all. And Richie rocked it all night long on a night that was busy, but no where near full. I think he would do a phenomenal job there and he has more than paid his dues.
