jerseyclubin Posted January 1 Report Share Posted January 1 same one i gave on his site, just thought id share it wit u guys alsook so i get there at about 7:30..........me and my 2 friends get to the door and right away we are told to leave, after asking y...they told us that we need girls to get in............so i tell him we have advance tickets and he looks at the lady (im guessing paris) and she gives him a dirty look and then tells me to take off my bandana ( after not sayin a word to the guys in front of me with them on and letting them in) so i take it off, and put it back on in the bathroomgot inside and deff like the new system, saw the gti show that was mad hot with tits poping out...lolsylver show was hot to, got the crowd pumped upcircle hogs were in full affect, didn't let anyone else in the circlesac was blasting, not like exit last year....couldn't figure out y guys had there shirts offwen i left the place was pretty crowded, at least the down stairs was........got to hear a couple of classic songs before i left, that was hot toall in all, great night, great crowd, great djhappy new year Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cynstam21 Posted January 2 Report Share Posted January 2 we got there at 9:30, waited online forever, didnt get escorted to our table once we got our bottles, the fun began...danced all night...JP was KILLIN IT...good job!AC was was great, sound was great, the bathrooms werent that bad, however, whenever we went for a walk on the main floor, I must say it was the nastiest crowd I have ever seen in all my years goin out (what to be expected with $50 Gen Admin)...holy crap, it was so scary we ran back to VIP. VIP was bumpin...everybody dancin...great time with some great peeps.It got little too hard for me around 6, but we put up with it for awhile, I couldnt move after dancing all those hours, so we caught a little bit of the GTI performance which was cool...and left a little b4 9, when all the old school SF heads were comin in.Overall it was great night...Happy New year!! JP was def. on point. slowed down alitlle with his trbal stuff. but came back hard. yes the crowd had its dirtyness but i really did not pay attention to much me and my girl were dancing all night. i could not believe the asian invasion though. (no disrespect ment). i was able to get upstairs to vip. it was great up there. relaxed for awhile, let my feet rest. left around 6:30. just did not have anything left. overall it was a great time. I kept using the bathroom upstiars which also had house. And there was mad space to dance up there. They had louis corrales, chris vargas, shawn ink, and many others up there so i kept goin back and forth. After 630am, i mostly stood in vip area cause thats when i was LOVING the music. JP started gettin harder and harder til around 11am. THen throwing some vocals. I stood 95% sober. Didnt even drink until 11am. Had a few drinks, but i was so tired and liquor was only making me more tired. I left at 1pm. I wanted to close so bad but my body was not letting me. The crowd was pretty young. I didnt even go downstairs to the main room. And yes many of the old sf heads came at like 8am. The vibe was pretty good after that time too. Hadnt been out since july so it was def a great time. leener4269 Posted January 2 Report Share Posted January 2 normally, i am very nice and supportive in my posts about jonathan peters, however, new years at spirit was one of the most anti-climatic club events i have been to in a while. i got there at 9.30am which was pretty good timing since i got a good 8 hours of sleep from the equally anti-climatic night before and waited on no line at all. when i got inside, i was extremely surprised to find it was nowhere near as crowded as halloween was. the crowd was kinda strange, not much unity or as many people call it: vibe. i just didnt feel anything inside the building. i tried to dance, but couldnt really get into it. and by 3pm the place was practically empty. i left at 6.30ish which i think is around when it closed. but overall the day was just blah, semi-boring. maybe its the atmosphere of the building itself, im not too sure. i went up into vip for a bit in the afternoon and felt a little more of the old shady sf environment, but not much, so i stayed on the main dance floor because there was so much room. although i was forced to get my coat out of coatcheck and dance with it on because it was so cold in there. anyway, overall i was extremely disappointed with the day, when i left i was feeling pretty lost and didnt know what to do with myself. i didnt have to work last night or today because i had anticipated being completely shot, but now im just sitting home, bored, and wondering what happened to new years eve / new years day being this enormous event. i just hope something soon will reinvest my energy and excitement because i need to get out there and dance. The second i walked into spirit i knew i shouldnt have went....the music sucked the sound system there makes every song sound the same too many vocals too many 14 year old girls runnin around thinkin they are the shit,....I wasnt expectin much anyway tho so i aint bummed outThe sound system statement you made is ridiculous...Spirit's system is a lot better than the old one and to say it makes the sounds all the same shows you know shit about music...anyways I knew by reading the review I'd hear about guido's, young kids etc etc lets hear about the fucking music for once and start pointing out all the negatives....my reviewarrived at 945am able to park on the street and there was no line so it already started off good....JP was killing it I really enjoyed his skills with the eq cutting the bass alot and creating his own buildups..songs that stuck out SERENITY i couldnt stop singing im so afraid to love you but more afraid to lose ahhh....in your eyes over that sick tribal beat and all this time getting looped redic really enjoyed every song Peters layed down Believe in Love was nice hearing RAINNNNN was sick as well so much other songs that I need to think to remember left at close all and all best time I've ever had music wise with peters Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you like the same played out classics that he plays you woulda liked it too, i went to exit last year and i hate that club but i still think it was 10 times better then spirit musically and all. The last few hours were awful he was just running out of shit to play so we all got to hear the same stupid classics. My friends told me it was better before i got there but who knows i think it sucked and most of the people i know thought it was awful. Earlier than that is was OK. Even my man was getting bored saying that it was much better upstairs. My man hates vocals. Hung out until 5 pm, and had a great time. By the way, I thought I heard JP tease "My love is your love" a couple of times, does anyone know if he played it sometime between 5 and closing?
