I've been there the last 3 years for Memorial Day weekend and am getting ready to book my trip this year again.I know all about the clubs and all that shit but I have one question. We're going with a decent size crew and last year we stayed at the Hard Rock which I loved. The "Rehab" party at the pool was one of the best days I had down there. Some of my friends are talking about hitting up the Mandalay Bay this time just to try something different. I know how much of a bitch it is to get into the "Rehab" party if you're not staying at the hotel plus I know they give you bracelets when you first check in where you can get away with 4 people staying in a room for the price of 2. I don't know how strict Mandalay Bay is with trying to get 4 people in a 2 person room and if we'd have problems getting into the pool everyday.Anybody familiar with this or any comments about the Mandalay Bay during this time....please share! They having some kind of promotion for the month of May. I got my room down to about $945 with taxes. I called up and changed the rates with no problems. Fri $239, Sat $349, Sun $169, Mon $109. So i double booked for paris which is 99 239 319 99and the rate is nonpublished.And urs is--- 239 349 169 109Shows how overpriced HR is. No deposits?Yeah I'm flyin in from Boston.I booked HR (deposit) months ago and Paris (deposit) on Monday.For someoone who has stayed in 5 star hotels around the world, believe me, HR is not worth $399. What is has to offer is so uncompetitive with other hotels right on the strip. But, its sold out. They make their money when you get there.Hard rock and Mandalay are supposed to have the best pools. That's mostly why I chose Mandalay Bay. Sometimes its worth a few extra bucks. Sometimes its worth a few extra bucks.The hotels here in Vegas realized a long time ago that people will pay top dollar for hotel rooms. $399 is a lot of money to pay for a hotel room, but people pay it. Bellagio and the Venetian average occupancy in the high 90% range despite regularly charging rates like that, so they must be doing something right. People will always pay more $ for more of a good thing.Venetian ... is 169, 349, 599, 199but that's for a Luxury Suite with King Bed and Sofa Bed (650 sq ft).
