Horrif.Before any of you toolbags call me a hater, or I dont know what I'm talking about I will say PROUDLY that I used to make it a point not to miss one Morillo party. For a while he was one of my favorite DJ's but after the crap of a set he played last night, I won't go back another one of his parties for a long time. I dunno if it's because he only played a 2 hour set, and was just getting warmed up, or was trying to play for for the club and he thought we are all major cheese lovers but his Track Selection was garbage and when the best song of the night was Gets Noch and Solid Textures? its definately time to pack it in.I felt like every song he played was an 80's song remixed or complete QUEEN music. The energy was off the meter, and I guess that's why I stuck it out so long, but I heard nothing new or impressive. Although he did 'work' the tracks he did play, I won't take that away.. but shit is shit.. and a majority of what I heard was TOTAL shit.CAN WE PLEASE PUT 50 CENT IN THE CLUB TO BED ALREADY? really enough..As for his opening DJ.. If I had tomatoes he would have been beamed in the head with them. Everything he played sounded like background music for a Mexican Porno.. loland... why did the flyers say Morillo's set started at 9 pm sharp? was there a transportation problem? he didn't walk in until 12. I listened to that shit over and over again cuz someone told me that you have to, eventually his music grows on you but I still can't seem to really enjoy it. I pick JP and boring-Boris as you guys call him any time of the day. So Many Times on CD 2 is a hot song I have to say..not to be a hater or attention seeker on here cuz that's not me but just giving my opinion on how I think he's overrated. ovrdose Posted May 7 Report Share Posted May 7 im glad im not the only one that noticed the 9 PM thing, i thought i was taking crazy pills. granted in the city you might not notice if a dj goes on a little late cause you have the whole night to work with, but this is jersey with the nazi curfews every hour counts. i loved at one point the mc gets on and he's like, so eric should be joining us in a little bit...im like motherfucker SHOULD be joining us? loland the heat, for the love of god the heat in that place was unbearable. For some reason, most of my CDs over the years poorly represent the dj that put them out. Check Morillo out at any of his city gigs and Im sure you will feel differently. Which I thought was a plus since he came late. The heat was a little too much. Why couldnt they just turn on the air- conditioner?Besides that, I had a blast.
