kinetika Posted November 13 Report Share Posted November 13 Hey everyone, need some help/advice-My roomate has a 6 month sublet agreement with me, which is up jan 1 2006. a few weeks back i had asked him to move out by dec 1, and he said yes. We had then agreed(verbally, not in writing) that i would use his security deposit to cover novembers rent. However, he comes back to me now and told me that if he cant find a place by december, he is going to stay because our initial sublet contract was until january....-I want him out ASAP. fastfast Posted November 14 Report Share Posted November 14 if you signed the initial sublet till jan then you are locked into that ...althought a verbal agreement is technically legal it is going to be next to impossible to even fight it or even worth you time and money since the 30 days will be up way before this even gets resolved legally i agree with the other person, try to find him a place or just deal with him for 30 more days not much more then that you can do IMO Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
