lalate
I've been to Beverly Center last time I was in town ..L.A. Bloomingdales suck compared to the one in NYC ! lol I think L.A is more about boutiques then dept. stores .. What's on Robertson Blvd. ?Robertson south of Santa Monica is high end furniture and lighting. Then south of Beverly Blvd its boutiques (Agnes , Horn (we have a celeb party for in December). Stops about maybe 3 blocks south of Beverly.Better shopping - camarillo, melrose, downtown (not really santee, the side areas), pockets of venice, etc

weyes
as far as mexican food goes, i love el cholo. there are a few of them, but i've only been to the one on western.http://www.elcholo.com/there's also a mexican restaurant a couple of blocks from my place in orange that just happens to be amazing and really cheap; i'm lucky in that.
