but if they are different then their real life counterparts, what would be the benefit to market to their internet personas?

money

look at the amazing amount of ebay items and websites dedicated to selling gold or points or whatever in that world of warcraft game. worthless intangible stuff in real life.

the most classic example is porn. I could be a preist in real life, but in the internet world i want to look at pornography and have it marketed to me.

I'm VERY calm...just looking forward to that drink with you

Maybe this montbh kid will be kinda how saleen was preceived.... everyone hated (and still hates) that guy.. but almost everyone that met him said he's a funny/cool guy in person. I always thought he was funny on the boards hence why he and i are best pals..

This kid though.. i dunno.. he's not that funny to me.. and i'm sure he feels the same about me - which is understandable.. i mean i'll never meet him since I'm in FLA and all.. but maybe he'll surprise us all and he'll be okay in person?

It wouldn't be the first time someone has rubbed us wrong on-line but been pretty okay in person.

Ehhh who knows, and really who cares

And i bet you thought computers would never take off and kept your typewriter till last year.

Its the way things are. Its been proven and documented.

Maybe people who cant create internet personas just dont have vivid enough imaginations.

i can def see the case with pornography but with the games and stuff, its a very remote market..but with the way marketing is in this society, i wouldnt be surprised

While that may also be true, some people lead crazy enough lives that they dont need to make up shit.

Carmine has met me.

Jen has met me.

I talk to Gabe all the time online. We haven't crossed paths yet.

Im a normal guy. Everyone hates me because I move posts on an internet forum?

Noone knows anything about me except those 3 individuals. I promise you I'm not a douchebag in real life.

Well a lot of people do. Where i used to live the amount of people that wanted to look, act and talk like Abercrombie models were naueseating. Miami is the same way with a twist. People are groomed to agree with the mainstream, i mean look at the garbage that is topping the music charts. The so called hip hop and reggeaton.

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that has never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? We make tools for these kinds of people. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

wait...is that good or bad?

Well considering that I personally have no desire to fit any kind of mold, that might be a compliment coming from me.
