IF you read the Gospel of John you'll see Jesus' loved one individual more then anyone else and it was a guy. "the disciple whom Jesus loved" - now i'm sure most of you can't get it through your head that you can have the most intense and passionate love for another human being w/out sex being involved but, IMO, the greatest love story is in that book and it's b/w 2 men. I grew up in a religious background myself.....I dont know if i believe that John had a crush on Jesus - weren't they just best friends? they were very close but i don't thin kit was like that...not to preach but yes the bible does say it hates adultery along with a bunch of other things. doesn't say God hates gay people, He loves everyone, just does not love the behavior. you can find this in the bible several times....even the Catholic church (which I know you hate) is one of the only denominations that accepts gay individuals and encourages them to come to mass while other gay people feel ostracized in other types of churches. I think it's so funny when people say the bible is a book of fables. there is historical information in there that is accurate, so even if you didn't believe the relevant lessons or stories to be valuable to your life, the information is still historical so it's not "fictional" in that aspect. anyways i dont judge anyone, everyone has their own free will to believe in what they wish, but everyone it doesn't hurt to read a little bit and then decide if you would like to learn more about it or if you are more comfortable in a different sect....we all pray to the same God ....unless u practice polytheism Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
