back2basics Posted August 11 Report Share Posted August 11 Just having a few drinks (and smokes) with friends... the following thoughts came to me..Pershoot is right, there is a community developing here..Good looking? Who gives a shit, you lot are one bunch of cool, intelligent, respectful, sain, talented, sexy, special, generous, loving, open minded, funny, outrageous, mystifying, happy, party people,... I love you all.. well most of you!Our generation needed something that bring us all together, the past generations have had war and hardship... we have had nothing. Every day I see people around protesting about American Girl place or what ever, isn't it just boredom? (it’s a restless, restless world). We have been brought up in the commercial generation. We need something to bring us together, something to allow us to understand each other... that thing isn't E it's the music. Ok we all talk about drugs and stuff but at the end of the day what we do share is a love of music. Don’t care who the DJ is, what the club is or what the style of music is we love music. We can argue, we are all different fundamentally, but we can all unit over music @ the end of the day.Sometime it pisses me off because some people think that there is a right and wrong, a best and a worst.. Maybe there is. But there is always one thing we can fall back on.... me talking shit again!! No you know music.Peace, love, unity, respect, tolerance to you all.In the words of the song I we are listening to now... Everybody on this board may debate endlessly about which type of music is best or which DJs spin better or which venues are the coolest or whether to do drugs or not . . . but at the end we're all into this scene for the music.And it's funny but this board has become like a regular passtime for me during my hours at work. We have a common passion that has quite honestly developed into a sub-culture that the majority is not apart of or will ever fully comprehend.I feel fortunate, first for the scene, and secondly, for people like you and others on this board that are open and life-loving.
