Guest endymion
RBS, I get your point but you're arguing in favor of the principle "the end justifies the means".That principle is very dangerous. Progression toward civilization requires progression away from that principle. That principle leads to torture and genocide, things that I always thought that Americans opposed. It comes down to the question: are we fighting for freedom and liberty or are we fighting for our Big Macs and fries? rbs
Duh! Big Mac and Fries. Everyone knows that. ;DThe beauty of America. Two individuals can argue and then go on their daily lives. Elsewhere....we would have killed each other. We aren't really fighting for freedom due to the fact that we aren't in danger of loosing it. But I do believe we are fighting to stop terrorism. However logical it may seem.
Guest endymion
We are in danger of losing our freedom. Just not from the terrorists. They might kill a few of us but our own government is the biggest threat to our freedom.
