It's what it is...Nobody except us music heads reallly cares that Tiesto is djing in the back ground nor has any idea who he is. Why would NBC make a big deal out of it? Guest LeVeL
yeah it was cool to hear him, but it was so faint, and no mention of the guy by nbc.Yeah I felt the same way. I felt like Tiesto got used for the ceremony without any kind of noticeable recognition. If they had Placido Domingo or Celine Dion singing on the background they would atleast mention them right. But not everyone in the world knows about them either right. Eventhough they are recognizable stars I dont think everyone in Senegal knows about them. They would of atleast mentioned the guy thats all. I felt like they used Tiesto like a puppet. Shoot they didn't even mention Bjork when she performed right before they lighted up the Olympic Flame. Guest Cosmigonon
He was only hired to provide the background music while the athletes were marching. It wasn't gonna be a groundbreaking event for EDM obviously, so I don't understand the dissapointment of everybody. Is not like they were gonna say at the end of the ceremony "By the way, this is the first time we use an EDM DJ for this type of event, so you are all privileged to have been witnesses of history in the making..." or anything like that.
