kitty19
yea, it's always cool to see the djs/artists that stuck on earth manages to bring out, krs-one is a fuckin awesome live performer.however, i am weary about ever giving any money over to stuck on earth's events. they are known to dick ticketholders over (meaning, you have a ticket, yet don't get in), lack of toilets, outrageous prices for water, extremely rude security, not enough security, terrible conditions for dancing, etc etc. ha, sounds like any club in NyC hopefully, they have changed their ways? i would love to see the entire line up.------------------*kitty19**turn it around baby*
shadowchaser
Yeah I know what you mean Kitty.....I've seen them not let people with in tickets. The ones I saw that weren't let in were the ones who were being assholes toward the security for no reason and ones who got caught with "stuff" on them. Personally, I think the security at raves are far more worse than the ones at clubs in NYC.On the plus side, the venue where its being held at is pretty big and the line up of DJs is sweet. It might be really cool and its an excuse to party.I haven't hit decent rave since April and my baby Sandra is spinning. ------------------"Life moves pretty fast. dbilas
Yeah, Boo was rough last year cause of the weather, late starts, DJ cancellations, etc. Once it got started though, it was a great time. This year looks even better. Sandra Collins was excellent at Roseland (?) with Oakey and Max Graham a couple of months ago.
elevatedflow
35 bucks ... and you got to hear AT THE LEAST 5 GREAT DJ's! (taking in to consideration that your to mangled at times to even have a concept of who was spinning ) now for 40 bucks i get ...i bumped this thread cause of the limelight turning into a strip mall thread ... i know venues cant go on forever, but what happened to the vibe, the scene, the talent and ultimately ... the music. Why did that all have to change?! I blame the DJ's for the most part ... there are DJ's who go to venues and will play the minimum of their contract, fucking duche bags. Jeff Mills for example, how are you going to come to NYC and only spin for 2 hours when over a thousand people came to hear you, thats some fucked shit. Regardless of the politics between, venue - promoter - agent - dj .... in the end, respect the people who come out to support not only you, but the music! He once came to arc for a gig and decided that he didnt want to spin. So he put a Cd on and a video of his two friends spinning.
housedog
The pnly reason I go out is for the MUSIC and certain DJ's I want to hear. What is the use of going out EVERY weekend, it gets to be redundant. Parties (raves) are even worse, they hve all the DJ's play for an hour, WTF is that quanity is NOT better than quality. Ihave been to a few parties in BK that friends were throwing, I havent been out in NYC since July. I did travel to Europe for the Amsterdam Music Event and I LOVE Techno, Europe parties are the SHIT. I recommened everyone who likes to party to travel to Europe at least once for a party.I went to this Boo which was a OK time, nothing like how parties use to be like in the mid to late 90's
