I partied all over the (mostly southern) east coast (NC, SC, DC, MD, FL then on to PA, NJ, CT, NY). I went to Lonnie's first parties (Ultraworld) at the DC armory and tons of others. My first clubbing experience(s) in NYC: 1996, Unity at Vinyl on a Friday, w/ Bad Boy Bill (the REAL one), Frankie Bones, Adam X and others. It was a drug circus full of K-holed ravers.1996, in the fall (October?), Twilo on a Friday night w/ Daft Punk and Danny Tenaglia afterwards. Much more B&T/guido than Twilo Fridays are now, but the line still went down the block. Then I found Arena w/ Junior at the Palladium in January of 1997 and I knew how incredible NYC clubbing could be. I finally found my kind of party. How about Bonds Internatinal? or the Ice Palace on 57th and 6th? I remember Danny T at the old Copa 20 yrs. ago. How about DJ's like Roy Thode, Larry Levan, Robbie Leslie, Howard Merrit and Scott Blackwell? Loved how the music started, built up, and took you on a ride. The dj ended with the Copa theme.
