highmay
Could anyone give me an alternative to Peter Lugars? People say that Smith and Wollensky's or Michael Jordan's is good, but I'm skeptical. Any suggestions?------------------Coming soon...The signature that will end all signatures...AOL: Highmay9Napster: Jayme

starstuff
I recently went to Dylan Prime and everything was excellent. Even the music - Moby was playing in the background. Also, for an old-time classic check out Sparks, where mob boss Paul Castellano was shot down in front of Sparks Steak House in 1985.Dylan Prime62 Laight St(212) 334-4783 http://newyork.citysearch.com/profile/11351633/ Sparks Steak House210 E 46th St(212) 687-4855 http://newyork.citysearch.com/profile/7129136/
ichi_gami
Smith & Wollensky is very good, Morton's (49th and 5th) is excellent (double cut filet is extraordinary IF you can get them to make it rare enough) and Del Frisco's (49th and 6th) is far better than the reviews... Ruth's Chris quality, but prices are quite high. Palm 2nd ave & 45th) is perhaps the ultimate Manhattan steakhouse, though.Sparks has the Paul Castellano rep, but I'm kinda iffy on their menu, Angelo and Maxie's is supposed to be very good (never been), there's also Gallagher's (52nd and Broadway/8th Ave) which is supposed to be good, but slipping in recent years.Good luck! -ichi (likes beef) ------------------
