They didn't make it as a result of losing to both Ireland and Portugal and tying Portugal the other time they played them.the top 2 from that group, Ireland and Portugal made it. Tough shit lol. Btw, only 2 teams make it out of Group F, like all the other groups. 8 4 team groups with the top 2 in each advancing to the single elimination round of 16 afterward. crobra Posted January 26 Report Share Posted January 26 Repeating is very difficult - I don't know if France can do it. I pick portugal as my sleeper team to do well and go far. Their generation of players have been together for a very long time and won two jr. world cups together!! They will be a good surprise. Argentina are the favorites but I think that is never a good thing, but the have such a talented team. Spain will do its usual choke and so will italy. Germany has struggled - look for them to bounce back!! I wonder which team will be the surprise?Poland - Nigeria - US - you never know!! Hopefully a string showing by the US will get soccer going in this country!! Two MLS teams were dropped and the over all interest in the MLS is fading fast!!!!
