mikelac
How is this club? Is there a dress code? How much are drinks? How is the sound system? What time does it close...or what time will it be closing during the WMC? Where is it...South Beach area?Going down for WMC, and I just wanted to know what this place was like. Thanks. pod
The sound system is mediocre at best. Old JBLs, nothing to write home about. Opium Garden has the strictest door code on South Beach. For a few weeks, us CP folk were well taken care of there, but our ace in the hole, Dade Sokoloff, is no longer with the Opium team. Dade was bringing in top talent, but it is not to be no more. So in other words, skip this one for Liquid, crobar, Space or Level.

Thanks. visually it’s one of the most beautiful clubs in miami. it attracts some of the most beautiful women. the atmosphere is pretty chill. the sound system is not the best in the world, but it’s not that bad. the dress code is a bit strict. you will definitely need to be, accompanied by some females; the door policy is rather strict. drinks are reasonably priced; in comparison to other venues. I would imagine during conference, they will have extended hours. the club is located on south beach. the line up for wmc includes: Way Out West, Pete Heller, Sander Kleinenberg, Hybrid, Peace Division,Roger Sanchez, and etc. check their site: Opium Garden

georgeacasta2
That sucks if he doesn't work there anymore. He treated all the cp peeps with lots of love.
ogmiami
Pod has it right...almost. I'm not working full time for the Opium Garden any more. But, I am taking care of the conference events there and at Living Room and will be doing events there after conference.Don't worry, CP people will still get the royal treatment.BTW - Dan Agney will be bringing in his Function One sound system for the conference. If you've ever heard the system at the Living Room, you know what I'm talking about.Dade
