i always get her a group gift with my sisters. she ends up not liking it and taking it back every year. so we've learned to not put too much effort into it anymore. its going to get returned regardless. :-\ I take care of my mother. This year she got a full facial and massage at bliss spa here in midtown. niiiiice. I wouldnt mind having that.... Evan, dont egt me wrong, ive tried to treat her with good gifts for years. i gave her a day at a spa last year and she never used it. she is picky and even admits it. shit John I didnt even realize how condescending that sounded. As a Mod, let me retort The New York forum is at a pretty critical point- where people are streaming in, albeit slowly, and there really isnt a need to have a really structured forum there since there really isnt that much to structure. The fact that there is subject matter to discuss is good enough. Also, we are pretty tight in that forum....most of us are friends or became friends from the forum, so we see eachother on weekends or talk on the phone...so it is more intimate for us....not that that is better or worse--- I just think that organization and structure become more necessary once there are masses of people. Plus, a mod posted the MJ thread and the draft thread. and he is big and scary and I dont want him to hit me. Sometimes he does. It hurts.

Crobar is a great place to perform...a big main stage looks out on the entire tremendous dancefloor and mezzanines. I usually find myself climbing up on that stage just about every weekend--- I love watching the lights on the crowd and seeing everyone get excited over the horn...i know you guys aer used to horns, but we arent up here, so people get alll excited.
