Yes - when the club is not even 1/2 full and 10 people in front of you on line, that is ridiculous to wait more than a couple minutes. -Trancer:rolleyes:

Hybrid was awesome - place was moving for them and I'm pretty sure b4 they actually performed live, one of the guys was doing a dj set cause I recognized about 3 tracks that have been in their recent sets but didnt get to see if it was him spinning or not. After they finished I think Fortier went on for like an hour because it was some deep dark prog and I know Tong hadn't started yet. When Tong came on the dancefloor was packed - as usual he played great tracks but his mixing was sub par. Sound for the dj's was lousy - it got better once Tong started but the volume was extremely low b4 and after Hybrid performed and just seemed very quiet. Only real complaint I had was that they actually made people wait outside when I got there (which was around 11) like the club was filled or something. It was total bs - there was only like 10 people in front of me on line and I waited 15 mins b4 I could get in - I thought it would be packed when I got in because of the wait but it was not even crowded - that has to stop. -Trancer:rolleyes:

Starting this Thursday yours truly, Iron Mike, will be spinning progressive house soundz along with different guest DJ's every week at Port 156 in Elizabeth (on the corner of 2nd and Port Ave). Free admission every Thursday but for this kickoff night you have to email me at ironmike@housemusik.us to get put on my list for free admission. Also, if you can grab a flyer at one of the local music stores (Mondo, Cafe Soundz, Vintage Vinyl, etc) it's good for a free shot at the bar. Hope to see some of you there.

Yeah but just because he has the power to draw people doesn't make him a good DJ - I'm not arguing that people haven't heard of him or know his music - He's been making tracks and remixing since the late 80's/early 90's - I think a lot of his tracks and remixes are great but he is way better in the studio and it is obvious that name recognition alone will bring people out to see him -Trancer:rolleyes:

I left around 5:30 and he hadn't played that Infusion track - he was pretty much staying on the progressive side the whole nite with some tribal soundz mixed in - can't remember even hearing one breaks track at all. By the way, Oakie spun the Infusion track last nite but his horrible mixing ruined it for me. -Trancer:rolleyes:

I feel sorry for anyone that had to pay $150 to see that excuse for a DJ spin. Last nite was the first and last time I will ever see him. Absolutely horrible mixing style - basically just faded tracks into each other and cut several short - never really overlapped beats at all or just for a measure or two - Tracks were pretty good but no flow to his set at all. Digweed the night before put him to shame. I heard his set from Homelands last month and it actually seemed really good which is why I was disgusted with his set last night. I can't believe this guy is the highest or one of the highest paid DJ's there is. -Trancer
