listen quoth, that party was not good. no offense to your cousin and all, but first impressions are lasting impressions and I and lots of other people did not have fun. actually, yeah i went for the typical tronic lineup which featured hard/techno dj's but I was disappointed when techno dj's were separated in between electroclash dj's ...selway was not on main floor, beyers set was killed b/c of hell wrecking the system. it was very crowded. dont tell me i am the only one that complained about this party... as for the 9th, advent and fosse sound good to me. i will try to make it. kinda excited about the venue. and to piggyback dialectics comment, Liebing's set at Baktun was the best live set i've ever heard in my life. tronic, please book again. also, please book dylan drazen.

sure.. when i think of tronic treatment, i think of hard techno. when i think of Infrastructure, i think of electroclash the two in my opinion dont mix. and i'm still bitter about the last tronic/infra joint venture at 66 water street.

I heard him live a coupla times while he was at discotheque, and late night, he banged it out...dark and heavy tribal beats. When i heard him at exit saturdays, it wasn't the same at all. He would throw some progressive and commercial with too much effect box...kinda sucked.. but now he's back to his roots it seems. I wasnt around for those Roxy Parties, but I say he should continue sticking to whats hes known for now and thats tribal.

does db show the .wav file graphically, where you can physically see the wave file and set the markers? or do you set markers based on listening to the clip? I've had db for a little now, but didn't know it splits files. nice little proggie nonetheless.

i've been listenin to boris more and more, and honestly, his sets are very very good. I don't know why he doesn't get more talk. From his live sets at discotheque to the ones I've been hearin on off the web, I gottah give him props. Very dark tribal and excellant technical dj. When he leaves out the commercial stuff, his sets are great.

very good stuff here....however, i'd like to add that it is my understanding that hardstyle evolved not from hard trance, but from Hardcore music, especially Rotterdam Hardcore, which is why it is so popular in Holland. If you listen to a hardstyle dj, there is usually hardcore infused within the set, it Lady Dana, DJ Gizmo, DJ Pavo....even hardstyle has its own sub/co-genres, ie "italian hardstyle" ie Vortex, Supermarco May, "Jumpstyle" Da Boy Tommy, Poogie Bear "UC Style" etc etc....also almost all traditional hardstyle traks are faster bpms, and have that "boom boom bass" sample in it, which is very derivitive of hardcore music, and which sets it apart from the hard trance and hard house genre...

that style of trance is fading... hard riffs, breakdown w/ or w/o vocal...followed by hard riff again... look into hardstyle...

then you wont want to see Irreversible ....it has a brutal opening sequence, and then a 10-12 minute wrenching anal rape scene like no other in the history of of film....kudos to Monica for Belluci pulling that one off..i don't remember how many cuts were in that scene, but I dont think it was many, which is amazing for that type of scene... yeah City of God is brutal, but the direction and cinematography are what I'm after...haven't seen yet, hopefully this week though

it was ok, but too much of a wannabee Reqium For a Dream. I was kinda embarrassed for whoever directed this b/c its is almost a complete remanufacure of Reqium but with diff plotline.. I saw Irreversible which was good, and City of God is supposed to be dope.. me indie flick freak

this has got to be the dumbest venue to have johnny at in the history of promotions...you can't fit more than 75-100 people in the dj area and that is maxxxxing it... dont get me wrong, filter is awesome, but not for JV and his following. B&T folks be prepared to be dissappointed...this is going to be a clusterfuck!

WHAT? first off, this party sucked second off, this party sucked tronic, what de fuuuck happened? dont bill adam beyer as a headliner and then play electroclash for the entire nite. dont switch the venue, and completely fuck up the sound on both floors. don't pack us in when it was quite apparent the venue couldnt hold the crowd. I couldnt fuckin move downstairs, let alone even think about dancing. and the crowd was a whole diff. story...never saw so many scenesters in my life, but thats dumbo for yah! and why the hell was there so much whistling going on. by the time beyer went on, the sound system was sooo shot, it souded like i still had my ear plugs in.. this party was the complete opposite of any monday tronic party i've been to for the past year or so. much dissappointed! and btw, tronic promoters, please book dylan drazen again @ sullivan room...PLEEEEASE! he tore into it at the clicks party last thursday!

yo Stuck on Earth fuckin sucks...they do that shit at every party..The door was fuckin retarded....i got there at like 1:30...madd big line, no one was getting anywhere...WTF! I left went to Picotto Those fucks never have their act together...the only time there hasnt been a line issue was at Boo6 b/c no one showed up.HAHA!
