    Hey Paul!!!

JRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOO....whaddup, thanx for introducing me to all the DC CP peeps at Insomnia....I gottah say that the CP vibe definitely extends from NYC to DC. Everyone I met was maaad cool...yourself and the other guy at the meet [i forget name], vicman, scratchapella briefly, dcsglow, and some other heads too. Last Sat proved to me that CP definitely has the best members of all the message boards. Can't wait for the next time! As for my D-Fuse review, I began entering my drunken stupor around 2:45, but I was still able to realize that D-Fuse isn't all that great in my opinion. He never really went anywhere, kinda stayed mellow the entire night, which isnt what I am really into. There were a coupla harder tech songs, but dropped few and far between. But to make up for the trax was the hotass CP vibe in the front near the dj booth. I could tell everyone over there was havin a good time, and no tough guys either like in nYC. All in all a good night. I will def. be up again soon to check you CP playaz out again... P.S. If you liked Swingers, go rent "Office Space" - classic one liners...... --Peeeeeeeeeeter, whaaaaaaaat's happenin??
  4. 5'11 Brown hair...I'll be that guy looking around for people I don't know screaming out CP? CP? CP?...so if you see a clueless guy walking around the stairs over and over again, come say whats up. Paul
  5. I'm takin a break from the NYC club scene to check out D-Fuse with you crazy katz...1am under the VIP stairs it is....see you there...

  10. JOY, GOYA, SONS of PERICLES....done it all .....too bad my teams always sucked ass. I come from the un-athletic church.
  11. I dont think anyone is going to disagree with you here! good points.
  12. vengaboys - we like to party. its hot!
  13. i like the sony600's. They are bigger than the 700s and more bass repsonse than the 7s. I think they are discontinued though.
  14. OooooOooOOO soma sou....great song..makes me wanna get out to a bouzouki and dance around.... if you like that one, try getting "o aetos" Classic
  15. Avenger, I think it would be in your best interests to READ!!! read as much as you can, real all the dj catalogues of all the different brands, read up on the differences of cd's and turntables. None of us can tell you exactly what type of brand to get to start, or what type of tables to get. That is all a matter of your preference. The more educated you can become about djing, the more people can help you out. I know this sounds very vague, but it will make sense as you get more into it. To answer your question directly, a DJ starts by buying a mixer, either vinyl turntables or cd players, and some essential cables to plug into your stereo. After that you can experiment and begin to learn how to dj. FYI, there is a mixer out there by Numark called the Shredder. It costs 60-70 bucks and works amazing if you wanna just start out. DJing is not that hard, it just takes pratice, patience, and a passion for music.
  16. iz all good. I rock the sprinkler every now and then!!
  17. Hoke, For being relatively new to the board, your posts come across very objectively and without drama. I hope all goes well with your djin.! P.S. Ditch the mat, they just get in the way. Technics last forever anyway!
  18. there is a program called total recorder. it records any music media streaming onto your computer as .wav I dont think its freeware though, so you gottah get the crack
  19. the thick mat is too high for me. It doesnt let me twist the spindle in the middle, so i take it off.
  20. yeah, i bought a 1210 from a website caus of the price, and when I got it, the directions were in turkish, and it came with a voltage converter. It works fine though. Oh, and those big thick slipmats that come with the tech suck. Take it off, and cut a slipmat size portion out of a plastic shopping back or wax paper and put that under your cloth slipmat. That will help your records slide better. Or just go out and buy some.
