  1. where the hell did you guys dig this old post up from? They used to Cyber Slap me but then I found all of them at Surf one day and beat them all silly. I actually jumped off of Rod's face and gave the bus a flying elbow.....The stacked attacked and I threw my Miami Vice in his face and then broke his nose, back kicked bigtime and then ordered 5 shots of 151 and poured it in their wounds. Then I commanded them to bark like dogs in front of all the Surf Club Women. Since then we've all been pretty cool.
  2. Lots of hangovers from my crew today
  3. GEEZ I STILL ASSOCIATE SOME CLASSICS WITH NIGHTS AT SKATERS WORLD IN WAYNE......LOL.....THE GOOD OLD DAYS..
  4. This argument can go on forever. Some people associate classics with where they were when they heard them and some people associate classics with a track just being a classic. Godisadj has to see this point though.....When a club has an 80's night are they not entitled to it? Or did the club have to be existent in the 80's with people who were there at the time....I think not....We still associate 80's music with growing up and hearing musc on the radio. That is my defenition of a classic, whether you listened to it in your basement or at a club, THE MUSIC IS CLASSIC TO YOU. Anyways he is entitled to his opinion but I still think that if this was the new york board it would be a different story. BTW do you DJ GODISADJ?
  5. Exactly.... So what Godisadj is saying is that I am entitled to have a Classics night in my basement where the music was being played constantly when it came out but I am not allowed to take the same records that I play in my basement to Taste to play publically. If classics can only be played at their origins than I guess all of thos great Junior Twilo tracks are gone for good and can never be heard publically any more. Godisadj, I see your point but it is blurred by you dislike for some of us Jersey DJs and the places we play. We are the guys that are trying to take these new and smaller venues to a point where they will be allowed to have a "Classics" night without guys like you making this ridiculous argument. Maybe some of us aren't SF crackheads and don't want to stay up to 7am to hear classics and maybe we just want to go out to a nice venue where we'll here the same tracks and be comfortable with the 2003 nightlife and crowd. Just think of it that way and realize that if you truly have love for the music it wouldn't matter where it was played.
  6. I'll be playing the Vinyls I purchased through those years no need for track IDs So lets not get too general with these comments
  7. Not for nothing but who would base classics knowledge on how many times they've been to SF. I believe that they mentioned 96-2000. I've been playing Vinyl as a DJ since I was 11 or 12 years old that means 90 or 91. I think that qualifies as being fit to play classics. And the classics years where years spent at city parties until NYC went down the shitter. People weren't partying in Jersey as much as NYC back then, I know I wasn't. So I like you, learned the music from New York until the summers of 99 on, and even back in 99 and 2000 we were still partying non summer weekends in NYC. And it was those fall/winter NYC parties that the classics from NYC really came out. Roxy was a fall/winter party. SF was hotter in Fall/Winter. Twilo was hotter in fall/winter and the same with the others. The bug city parties where winter parties. Just clearing that up....Not arguing here.
  8. Elite are A-List promoters. They are tops in Jersey along with Serge.
  9. Friday at sleep was great. Everyone I know had fun.. Thats all I can say Good Job Elite!!!
  10. 1 word reecespeanutbuttercupchocolatechipcookiedoughcheesecake Thats why I go
  11. I also want to state that alot of people are hating certain DJ's for reasons other than their skills and they shouldn't be bashing them. Example: Moo - Just cause you have a website doesn't make you a DJ. It's just so stupid for someone to say NJGUIDO has been around for 1 1/2 years I've been DJing for 12 years. Some people should stop being so ignorant.
  12. godisadj - still hatin lol The question is too broad...It would have to be broken down to.. 1. Mixing Skills 2. Crowd working 3. Track Selection 4. Creativity 5. Gutsy mixing, attempting risky mixes 6. If you were to take the DJ out of a commercial atmosphere how do you feel they would play? 6 is very important because it is a key factor in track selection and creativity and style. Personally I hate playing commercial and I rarely do except opening up and stuff and whenever I have a chance to play my style of music, I take it and it is my style that I want to be known for. If someone said you have to play commercial music all night, I wouldn't want the job. But then again I don't rely on DJ money to pay my bills. Mixing and skills of the sort are no excuse but sometimes people are paid to play commercial and stuff of the sort. To some it is food on the table and in that situation their paycheck is more important than the critics. Sure they would like to impress the critics but commercial music pays their bills.
  13. Serge = Don King of nightlife........Sorry Serge had to bring that one back. Tempkid you suck at beer pong and are just sour cause Bigtime carried you to the championship. Maybe the don king of nightlife can set up a huge beer pong tourney. You are like the Jets Tempkid you have your moment of glory but still really suck....lol....Besides bigtime went on free agency and has been drafted by the TANKS. Anyways this Oct 3 night is all about fun. Who cares who is in the booth at what time....There will always be talent in there.....And following this great spectacle I will be putting together a massive pong tourney and hopefully I can get Serge himself to make it even bigger. THIS IS SERGE'S NIGHT, THE MOST RESPECTED MAN IN THE INDUSTRY FOR HIS LOYALTY AND HONOR AS A PROMOTER AND A PERSON. THAT IS REASON ENOUGH TO BE THERE.....THERE AREN'T MANY PROMOTERS THAT WILL EVER BE AS GOOD A PERSON IN THIS INDUSTRY AS DON KING HIMSELF...SERGIO
  14. More pics coming....That was just one of the cameras.
  15. I'm still a member of Axiom and World. I left Axiom for World but didn't get to cancel my membership to Axiom yet. Axiom is a nice roomy gym....Defenitely a good gym. World is smaller but nicer and cleaner although Axiom is clean too. World has TV's on every cardio machine. Axiom is bigger but world is nicer...that my thoughts.
  16. Dinner @ 8:30 for our crew......My boy Tony's big 30th bday party
  17. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS IS OLD ALREADY....YOUR LUCKY I DIDNT TAKE LEGAL ACTION....IDIOTS....YOU SHOULD THANK AND PRAISE ME......I COULD TAKE YOUR "CLUBITUP HUMMER" IF I WANTED TO....LOL Anticyberquatting Consumer Protection Act What You Need to Know About the ACPA On November 29, 1999, President Clinton signed into law the "Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act" (ACPA). This law adds section 43(d) to the U.S. Trademark Act of 1946 and creates a cause of action for "cybersquatting" on famous trademarks. The ACPA also creates a federal cause of action for cybersquatting on a person's name without his or her permission. As a domain name reseller, you need to know about this law. What the ACPA Covers Under the ACPA, a person may face civil liability to the owner of a trademark (or a personal name) if such person: (i) has a bad faith intent to profit from a mark; and (ii) registers, trafficks in, or uses a domain name that: (a) is identical or confusingly similar to a distinctive trademark;( is identical, confusingly similar to or dilutive of a famous trademark; or © infringes a specially-granted trademark such as "U.S. OLYMPICS" or "AMERICAN RED CROSS." See the entire text of Section 43(d) A "distinctive trademark" is any trademark that has been registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office or which has been used with goods and/or services for sufficient time that it has acquired "secondary meaning" among consumers. A "famous trademark" is one that a court says is famous. There are numerous factors that are considered, including the duration and extent of use, extent of advertising, degree of public recognition, and whether the mark was registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In practice, a "famous trademark" is one that most people have heard of, on a regular basis, for many years (i.e. Kodak, Exxon, Microsoft). The important thing to realize about the ACPA is that it distinguishes between a "distinctive" mark and a "famous" mark. Liability is imposed with respect to a "distinctive" mark if the domain name is "identical or confusingly similar." However, liability may be imposed with respect to a "famous" mark even if the domain name is merely "dilutive" of that mark. It is the notion of "dilution" that creates the largest pitfall for domain name resellers. The term "dilution" means the lessening of the capacity of the famous mark to identify and distinguish goods or services, regardless of whether there is actual competition between the trademark owner and the accused diluter, and regardless of whether the public is likely to be confused or deceived. Thus, McDonalds Corp. could sue the owner of www.McDonaldsBakery.com under the theory of dilution. Likewise, Disney could sue the owner of www.DisneyStinks.com under the same theory. It seems unfair, but that is the law. http://www.submerged-ideas.com/liti...icybersquat.htm
  18. Im in such a good MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!
  19. AHHHHH, the patio and now the terrace, what memories. Fuckin place is not normal, I was disturbed this past WMC, when I was standing there at 11:00 in the morning and everyone looked like they just got up. My opinion, (makes the Factory look like kids play) I'm sure I will take heat for this one.
  20. I go through the same shit...Eventually the only thing that slows you down is sickness. That is the reality check. Nightlife is life for some....their days are for sleeping....For others like yourself and I...Nightlife is the time that we should be sleeping. They are hours that age us and abuse us because they are hours that we should be resting, instead we spemd the, drinking and DJing. Eventually time off is a necessity. Justin you played great last night but looked so damn sick.....I was like "how is he playing right now?" You got a lot of heart and at 20 years old are destined for great things. Good luck brotha and I'll be waiting to hear those tracks you're working on. Peace, love, and NJGUIDO.com....hehe
  21. KIDS KIDS KIDS, I guess none of you have heard of SOUND ENVIRONMENTS located in central jersey. This guy has built all of the professional booths in the area. Surf, Tempts etc. I'm sure he does studio and home stuff...
  22. Denny, I have never seen energy like that it my life. What you did to that place on Sunday made everything that I preached to the media about NJ 100 percent true. Thanks for a great summer, a great closing party and making NJGUIDOs message valid. Thanks for everything and don't forget to check out the rest of the video clips on NJGUIDO.. To see the night from our perspective.
