This is what I got from the Village Voice article: ---in Sept. its cabaret license expired and the city failed to renew it--saying it needed further investigation ---the city has solidified its case against it with the July death, undercover buys, and the cover-up incident and arrest ---they're going to court this Monday, Oct 30th Which basically means: Enjoy it now while you can. If they shut it down even temporarily the party is over. It'll never be the same. ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!

It's been held at the original SF(twilo), palladium, tunnel, mirage(exit), coliseum and this Sat. will be held again at the TUNNEL So how was it??What do they put on?? A lightshow?? I know there's a big dj/performance lineup this year including Alice Deejay. Sounds like Tunnel will be great this Saturday. What can we expect?????? Webster Hall is a very mainstream club. In one room they play a lot of disco/pop/rock music. The main floor plays more commercial music house music--though they're starting to bring in better djs--specially on Fridays. The biggest complain I have with the place is the soundsystem on the main floor. When compared to clubs like Twilo or Exit--it's way out of their league--more like on the amateur side. Though the space itself is nice. Crowd is more adult/tourist type. And it dies out very early, speciallly on Friday nights. The main floor usually clears out completely by 4 am. The disco space usually lasts until 5. It's 21+, 19+ on Fridays. ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!

The only answer to someone who's giving you the runaround is to run fast in the opposite direction. Life's too short for such bullshit. If this chick comes back begging you to take her back---then you might have a chance. Otherwise--forget it. Let's be realistic here. I wasn't there last night but from a few weeks ago, I can tell you that Vicious has figured out the vibe of that place and is tearing it up with hard progressive trance/house. All underground-no commercial stuff in his set. And definitely, much different than his first few sets following opening night. Those were the more melodic trance types. He moved away from those. He's a great dj with a lot of great new material every night. ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!

It's not out yet but you can download it from Napster. Tracks like this make the hassle of going to clubs possible. Can't wait to get my hands on that piece of wax. You might try a gesture like was suggested before but once you've done it---believe me the best thing is to do NOTHING. Don't even try. From personal experience, I can tell you that it's like hitting your face against the wall. And that drove her away even more. Make the most of ur life, have fun, meet new friends, move on. There was this guy at Exit standing next to me by the bar last night. Completely messed up--and started acting wierd. All of a sudden he started chewing on the flyers on top of the bar and started making circular motions with his hands as to trying to hold on. The bartender had this shocked face on her from what she was seeing. The next thing I know--the guy dropped cold on the floor. His shoes came off, several people helped him stand up and he was rushed away by staff. A few minutes later a bouncer came frantically asking for soda and sugar or salt. Don't know what became of him. People will just never learn. Drugs hang like a dark cloud over the scene--jepordizing club's futures and ruining people's lives. If someone wants to have fun, the last thing on their mind should be some potentially deadly drug that could take their life away. If people can't enjoy the music and scene without taking such risks--they might as well avoid going to clubs altogether. Trust me, it's not worth it. ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!

Tunnel's Holloween Night: Ummm, let me see: An already freaky crowd gets even more freaky. I remember two characters from last year:--the ghost dancing on the wall on the mezz was hilarious --and the glowstick guy--completely lit up wiht glowsticks all over Last year was completely packed and an off the hook party. I'll definitely check it out this year. ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!

Without a doubt, it must be I Feel Love by Donna Summer. It amazes me how this record is so up to date considering that it came out around '76/'77--Way before all this house/techno thing developed. It was banging. Vicious was great. It probably closed around that time. I left a little earlier than that.
