  1. Im Dominican--was born there and been living in NYC most of my life. ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!
  2. I think that the only reason that Tunnel is still around is 'cause Gatien has a lot of experience and legal savvy dealing with this kind of stuff. According to what I read, his legal team even had to manipulate their way into having the cased heard by right, favorable judge in order to get a good outcome. Twilo's legal standing right now?? Not very good. 2x against it, a pending lawsuit, and an admin. looking for blood. SUCKS. would hate to see that system and that lineup go. Hope for the best. ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!
  3. I don't know anything about E 'cause I've never done it but I've read that a lot of shit pills are being produced out there. So what people are taking as "E" could be just poison. I read somewhere that in one bust they did and the pills were analyzed, the MDMA content was almost non-existant. Think about it--what people are taking as "E" could be some shit being produced by some moron chem major dropout in some rat-infested basemant in some dump in Europe. Not my idea of having a good time. Wouldn't take that shit even if you paid me. ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!
  4. I've read that in Europe the kids won't take drugs during a PVD night out of respect for him. 'Cause he preaches the non-use of drugs. Sad that it happened at all--let alone at one of his parties. ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!
  5. http://www.nypostonline.com/news/33566.htm ur health and well-being comes first, above anything else, if u die-u can't party anymore, let the music be ur drug, take something safe like a lite for kicks, if u're young and healthy--a whole life is ahead, don't waste it for anything nuff' to be said ------------------ There must be a party going on around here!!!
  6. I got there around 10:30 when there was nobody and saw it build up. Definitely, the crowd was great--a party crowd who wanted to check out the Tunnel once again. I think the Tunnel delivered. After all--this is THE TUNNEL. It had that old skool feel-with queens, party kids, clubbers, even a senior citizen I saw in there. The first dj was really good. Loved Jackie in the Nu Room. There was a gay/queen thing going on in the Mezz--funny shit. They even played "Jossie and the Pussycat". Loved those projected images on the circles. The blinking eye is hilarious. All in all--it was a good party. Tunnel has a unique feel to it which is why it's a freakin legend. They should keep promoting the shit out of it. And if Vicious takes over Saturdays (which he should)--the final piece will come into place.
  7. MCSE??CISCO?? etc..how about web development?? How difficult are they??? what's a decent one without much headache?? thanx
  8. Kitty, it's free if you have the flyer between 10 and 11. Reduced thereafter. Try to get the flyer. a record shop, maybe?
  9. PVD is great but I've got myself the TUNNEL flyer for that night which has complimenatary admission, a big lineup of djs(including girl djs) and best of all I save myself $35. How's that for economy, TWILO?? These clubs are getting stupid overpricing everything. After a while, it's not funny.
  10. Once, I found myself in the #1 train after a club. The train had made several trips up and down Manhattan by the time I woke up. Promised myself never to get that drunk again.
  11. Hey Alexandra, Please don't let bullshit like this get to you. Just ignore it. Some losers just looking to get noticed so they start crap. Anyway, think you're great. Later. We've met. David
  12. Max Graham was the surprise of the night...he was awesome. Oakenfold was great considering he was sick. He kind of looked like it. Anyway, can't deny the fact--he throws some amazing tracks and epic sets. His parties tend to have this quality that make you feel you just went to the best party in your life. Sandra did her thing. Roseland was awesome-jam packed crowd. Loved those big screens. And loved the place overall. Anyway, looking forward to Trancegiving II.
  13. Honestly, I think that's awesome. Johny Vicious as resident at Tunnel on Saturdays will take that place once again to the top. Hope some amazing Tunnel anthems produced by Vicious will come out of that party. That's what's great about having Vicious in there. Anyway, this party is not to be missed. Can't wait to go back there. Haven't been there in months. Everybody should be there for opening night. Oh, and the name of that party should be changed from DTour to (if it was up to me).... VICIOUS NIGHTS at The TUNNEL!!! That's a good name, right??
  14. You should see her live-She actually plays the housy/rave type during the main part of her set. Then gets more into trance later on. Anyway, she plays much harder than what Tranceport sounds.
  15. Vicious on Saturday?? U mean at Tunnel?? I don't think he's playing there this weekend. From what everybody is saying it'll be(maybe) the last week of July--the 29th. It's just speculation right now. As for Dave Rolph at Webster Hall--yeah, I don't get that spelling error. But WH has been bringing some big djs there lately on Fridays like Dj Taucher. So it's probably true. Could be Dave Ralph. Call them up.
  16. Ok, I've never been to Roseland but the other day I took a peek inside during an OpSail party--the place is huge and elegant. The lights and color very amazing. Plus, according to their website--it recently underwent 2.5 million worth of renovations. So definitely, the venue TOPS!!! As for the Djs: Never heard Max Graham, but Sandra Collins?? All I've got to say is--Oakey watch out. This is someone afterall that got her training playin raves in the Arizona desert. From what I saw at Twilo when she played there---She's GOOD.Trust me. U don't know what to expect. As for Oakenfold: Ok, November at Roxy-he was God. March at Roxy--started good but kind of lost it later on. Had an off night. Happens to all of them. This coming Thursday is makeup time for him. Expect the best from him. And since he's following Collins, expect him to really put out. He'll have no choice. Should be amazing!! Oakie at Roseland, Thursday 10pm to 4 am.
  17. He would proudly follow the footsteps of Junior Vasquez and Danny Tenaglia. He would join the rank of true super dj/producers that have played at this legendary nightclub. Therefore, assuring his place in club history. And it would only prove once again what true genius Gatien can be when running his clubs. It would be a masterstroke.
  18. Definitely hope that comes through. Vicious as resident would be amazing. Tunnel needs that so bad. Everybody on this board should be there for that opening night.
  19. http://www.webster-hall.com Put the audio on for the intro.

  21. Sounds like that Johny Vicious mix '98-'99-one of my favorite tracks.
  22. The problem with Tunnel is that it's being stupidly run while places like Twilo and Exit laugh all the way to the bank with people's money. If they renovated the place and brought in start djs--the place would be packed. Think of a possible party like this: Paul Oakenfold At the NEW TUNNEL. If that was true, that placed would be jammed. Obviously, Gatien must be broke 'cause he ain't doing shit about it. He should sell it to someone like EXIT's owner to stop the pain and suffering.
  23. I was there for Louis Vega's first set. He definitely built it up. Just before the performances started, he had that crowd jumping. Too bad these Summerstage events are not programmed as an outdoor party. 'Cause just like Body N Soul last year, the dj was the highlight of the day. They should keep the performances to a minimun and let the dj do his thing. Anyway, I'll go again to Body N Soul at Summerstage in August.
  24. Actually,,,is it Nitrogen?? Yup, that's it. That's what I meant. Anyway, I'll take the Nitrogen system anytime. KICK-ASS. Specially, when it's really hot in the middle of the dance floor and it comes on. So refreshing. Clouds up everything in front of you. Plus that noise, so dramatic. EXIT gets a 10 from me. I love that place.
  25. I play around with my Gemini belt drives and I have to say it's really a pain to beatmix with them. I still can't get it right. I guess they're only good for praticing at its worst. So definitely, go for direct drives. If you can't afford Technics and can't find them used, at least get Gemini XL-500s. They're the lowest priced direct drives, they look like Technics and for a newbie they're perfect. Also, that way you don't end up dumping a lot of money in case u decide to give it up. But you won't. . I rock my bedroom all the time.
