  3. why not do both?? we're going to Vinyl and Twilo on Friday night (and we're all tourists in NYC so you can hate us). please all wear large signs around your necks so I can spot you from 3 miles away (or large arrows pointing to your heads in the case of Twilo. so many people I won't be able to see the signs....) aiming for Vinyl around 1am, Twilo around 5am. are these hottubs on the roof worth checking out Saturday afternoon (Lulu's??)
  4. I'll be there - wearing a fetching tweed suit, deerstalker hat and some sensible shoes. oh and I'll have my knitting with me. or maybe 'dirtyslapper' written in black marker on my forehead. see you there.... shamrock - why won't you be all in green?
  5. I'm 31 and I still large it at the weekends... it really just all gets better and better (although the hangovers take longer and longer to get over....) best is the look on 20 year old guys faces when they've just invested 20 minutes chatting you up then you tell them how old you are. or am I just a sad old cow who should be married with kids, just desperately trying to mis-spend my youth all over again???? stay at home with the knitting? I don't think so....
  6. yayyyyy!! excellent - cheers, mate. check your email.....
  7. don't know about local stations in NYC but you can get Pete Tong live every Friday afternoon (6pm UK time, 1pm here) on www.bbc.co.uk/radio1 for some kicking choons. Judge Jules, Danny Rampling, Gilles Peterson and Fabio & Grooverider spin on same station at various times. All you need is realplayer and some speakers.
  8. Boa_boy - got any recommendations for cool bars/lounges in Sydney to chill out in of an evening?
  9. Frixfrax - at 26 I'd hardly call you a geriatric.... there are plenty of us around with a few years on you yet, girl!
  10. no, I heard they got on the wrong plane at Heathrow and ended up in China, where they've been brainwashed by Falun Gong into only playing those 'oh you know you've all got one somewhere' picture discs of bad 80s music. Do I hear A Flock of Seagulls???
  11. hopefully while with the hookers and with an 8-ball up each nostril.

  13. mmmmmmmm, what a lovely thought. Is that how you chose your username?? I'll keep an eye out for you at Vinyl & Twilo next week, pampers-boy. So PVD's hands made a miraculous recovery from the plane crash then?
  14. yep, sunny south beach miami - a great place to party. Loads of clubs all along one strip. plenty of entertainment watching the steroided men (for the girls (and boys)) and fake titted women (for the boys) during the day too..... [This message has been edited by dirtyslapper (edited 07-21-2000).] oh just realised that you probably know everything there is to know about south beach as you seem to know everything there is to know about everywhere else too. we're 2 brits, 1 aussie, 3 americans - from DC and San Francisco - getting a place down there for 4 nights - should be a bit of fun... 15. all the more reason to be a dirtyslapper all over again. can't recommend it more.... $7k a week is a bit excessive, even for the obvious taste and thought that has been put into the decor, although can you imagine the party you could throw in that place....??? hee hee hee
  16. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. I have to call them RIGHT NOW I would just die to be able to stay in this place......... LOVE the mirror above the bed, and as for those gold-plated suits of armour... (or is it gold lame? maybe that guy Martin wotsisface from ABC (the 80s group not the network) owns this place. are you doing any work today at all?? I've done absolutely nothing....
  17. you need several rolls of foil and some tape. and lots of friends armed with pins.
  18. well don't forget where you are.... we're hoping to stay in an apartment on the beach w. pool - the best that has to offer is some rather charming 80's black lacquered furniture and a balcony overlooking a building site. We dream of tasteless suits of armour... so if you've got any contacts down there with nice places to stay let me know.....
  19. here's a plan for when you get back still buzzing from the night before - pull a sheet of aluminium foil from the kitchen then using a pin make lots of little holes in it. then turn the TV on, turn up the brightness colour and contrast (to desired level of shock) and stick the tin foil over the screen. Lo and behold - no more telly, but some very good and addictive lights to lose yourself to. cool choons help... any other bright ideas?
  20. Nice one! I just noticed you mentioned Boston - they have some good clubs there, but the bummer is they all (and I mean ALL) close at 2am... and don't go in the winter - it's bloody freezing. Oh, but you live in Chicago so you're probably used to that. there are a lot of fun people in Boston though - and of course loads and loads of irish & brits...... we're off to South Beach again for Labor (sic) Day this year - now THAT's a place to party.... try it!
  21. so do you ever do any work, or is the clubplanet.com star status the top of your list of achievements on your CV??? I've done bugger all since I started getting into this. Totally addictive...
  22. oye, que dices?? para mi, me gusta el 'tj' pol el tyke. es mejor, verdad....?
  23. unfortunately the earlier bulletin reporting minor injuries has been updated by hospital authorities in Manhattan, and it appears that Mr van Dyk will no longer be able to spin as both hands were severed at the wrist during the accident. Surgical reattachment procedures are scheduled for this afternoon, but it is unlikely that Mr van Dyk will be able to appear at his previously touted locations of either Twilo or Tunnel. However, fans please note, you can still enjoy Mr van Dyk's tour-de-force via those great hits "chitty chitty bang bang", "mary poppins" et al. Sasha & Digweed have announced that they will be appearing at PollyEsthers next weekend while searching for a new residency.
