john58, clearly you understand the dynamics of the industry as well as the necessity to create an element of diversity. at the end of the day, that's all the matters.

Voting for Nader, and for one reason above the rest. Both Gore and Bush support the World Bank, and the World Bank help fund Chinese occupation in Tibet.

Well, I guess we don't ride the elevators becuase I am on 34. I am an assistant to some IBD associates. We should go out for a smoke some time (if you smoke!) -

I think I've seen that red headed guy... He has a really pretty girlfriend, right?
-
Hmmm...I haven't seen much of her lately. I always thought she was hardcore but apparantly she doesn't have what it takes any more. I remember ONE guy in particular was a hottie...but he was always hooking up with someone so I never wanted to approach him...

I think I've seen them...what a bunch of hotties in that crew! Some of their girls can really dance.

Bar 16 isn't really a club-club, but I have had some really fun nights there. They were spinning house upstairs and really good old school hip hop downstairs.

how did you come up with your username?
nicole212 replied to starcapone's topic in New York / New Jersey
Mine is pretty obvious so I won't elaborate...But BLUEANGEL I was at a bar and heard a song, called blueangel! It was a 50's ballad/love song. Really pretty. I kind of assumed that's where you'd gotten your handle. -
Ah, Outlaws. I remember them. Some of the greatest nights, at least until 2 or so when everyone would have to run from the cops. I was just remembering how much time I spent at rave rock a few years ago...

Spa axes Alison on Tuesday's...anyone know why?
nicole212 replied to jnjboy's topic in New York / New Jersey
I'm friends with someone who works/worked with Alison and that whole circuit (Spa, CP, etc.) I emailed him and here's what HE had to say: "I know why Alison got fired. I heard it was because she was giving out to many comps. Since she has been doing the doors for so long and knows so many people, there are a lot of people who she always comps. So Steve figured he could save money by using door people who really don't know anyone. So to all you fools who think it was because she let in too many guido's ( SO NOT TRUE) or who say it was because she was a bitch, which she is not. She is at the door for a reason, She is being paid to let right people in and keep the wrong ones out. If she turns you down it is because she was instructed to turn people like you down. Not because she gets a thrill out of it. She personally doesn't give a shit who is inside. Besides, Steve would never fire anyone for being a bitch ( he is the biggest bitch out there ). Now everyone get back to work :-)" -

I seriously lost my mind to these guys at one of those big parties in NJ...they really know how to put on a show. Is it free? -
Back in the golden days of Tunnel ('97)...blissfully waved my friends (and rides/coat check ticket) goodbye. No, no, I said, I'll get home Ok! So there I am, no coat in November, in typical raver gear - tank top, Dreams, pigtails - no money, no keys, no coat, no metro card, no ride home. Stumble to Penn Station. Get Propostioned!!!! on the way. Not quite THAT desperate for moolah. Miraculously, what I though was an empty bank account as 20 bucks in it. Am saved from collect call to folks upstate to wire money. Ride subway back to Queens, shaking and avoiding strange glances from fellow commuters. Managed to break into my apartment...NOT one of my finer moments! [This message has been edited by nicole212 (edited 07-27-2000).]

The city is going to try to close Twilo
nicole212 replied to suprstr02's topic in New York / New Jersey
In my humble opinion, there is no way that they are going to be able to close Twi. They couldn't close Tunnel, and we all know that Tunnel was about 400 times worse than Twi chemically. And none of us can be so naive as to think that our judiciary/police systems aren't brimming with folks ready to get paid off. Twi just makes too much money to worry about it. my .02... -
