  3. You know what Kat - I think this is Alpha, except maybe a little bit meaner. He wasn't even this bad...lol
  4. I've been to webster off and on in the last couple years and it has been totally different every time. At first it was great (cause I was new to the scene and didn't know any better) and then it sucked. For a really long time. A few months ago it started getting better. They changed the setup a little bit and brought in better DJs. The sound system really isn't very good and the crowd kind of blows. Not friendly and very gropy (if you're a girl). Great if you're w/people who like different kinds of music cause they usually have R&B/hip-hop downstairs, 80's & other rock on the second floor, house on the 3rd floor and live bands/salsa/other djs, etc on the 4th floor. And yes, they close waaayyyy to early. The place usually starts clearing out at like 3-30. It's worth checking out to see if you like it but not someplace I'd go very often. Just my opinion...
  5. Hey bastard - oops, I meant Dastard...STFU!! Nobody asked you...In case you suddenly grew boobs and a clit, otherwise you'd still be a man. Maybe. Then again...
  6. Hey Al - I'm sorry you can't come to the meetup. Do you think you could get off work?? Also, I responded to your post, did you see?? I noticed you weren't on the site for a few days or something. Anyway, hope it all works out for ya...lol Sarah
  7. Risa - send me an email, I may have a solution for you... shannah@ambac.com
  8. No, I was just curious cause I live in weehawken and you said something about taking the path in. I've been thinking about going and have more than enough room for you all to stay if you'd like but I'm still not sure yet. Won't know til tomorrow probably...
  9. Ok casey. Thanks for the heads up. I know I'll meet the person that night but you know how hard it can be to remember names when there are so many new faces...lol Anyway, if we have the gift exchange on the 22nd I won't be able to make it. I'm flying to tennesee to visit the fam for the week. I'll be back the following friday though, or how about thursday nite (the 21st)???? Either way I'm sure it will all work out fine. Brian - how goes it? Good to hear from you. HOpe your trip went well. I know you PM'd me a while ago but I never go in there cause it's too slow. Send me an email instead at: shannah@ambac.com.
  10. Thanks for the strips. Very nice. I'll be wearing my kool-aid grin for the rest of the day...
  11. Yeah, but have you ever read any of the collections. They read like novels...good stuff. BTW, I miss C&H too.
  12. I'm in. Questions: What if we don't know the person whos name we pick. I mean, I've met the majority of you but still haven't met the likes of vampie, dastardino and majesticmelody. Also, when do we exchange gifts. We pick names at the next dinner meetup but when do we get the goodies?? Just some thoughts...
  13. Glad to see you made it back in one piece sweetie. Was wondering when you would get back...Send me and email. Sarah
  14. 26 and not near ready for that kind of commitment. Every time I go back to my hometown, someone is getting married or having a kid. I've never quite gotten the whole 'rush to get married' thing. Then again most of these people go back to the place they grew up right after college and that's the only thing left to do. Luckily my parents aren't nags either. They let me live my own life, no pressure. They also know I'm in no hurry and are fine with it. Overall, I think this way of life (single/not married) is slowly becoming more accepted and hopefully won't be such an issue in the future.
  15. You're kidding, right Mike? That can't be the real menu... You meant chix finger app w/salad and choice of entree, right??
  16. Mine was senior year in HS. Crosby, Stills and Nash...
  17. Rachel - There's McD's downtown that does deliver, or so it did a month ago. Love fries my fries w/ketchup. Steak fries kick w/bbq though. Tough call.
  18. Happy b-day sweetie! Hopefully I'll see you friday, if not have fun!! I've no doubt it will be a memorable evening...lol
  19. Thanks for the invite Claudio...*hurt* Anyway, how late are you guys gonna be there? I have plans but hopefully we'll be done by 10-11pm. Been wanting to hear RR spin anyway...Let me know or email me (shannah@ambac.com). Lata.
  20. My first thought was, 'the toy company'...lol
  21. All points are valid and also well thought out - so here's an addition. I am a recent addition to the twilo family and feel that if you give it another shot you just might like it, then again it depends on what you're looking for. Not only have I met awesome people from the site in that wonderful place but I have also met complete strangers that were so cool that I now talk them on a fairly regular basis. As far as people being rude or egotistical, I think maybe you may have stepped foot in the wrong place. Cause no matter how crowded it gets everyone is just there to have a good time. I have been to most other clubs in the city and nothing compares to the vibe at twilo on a friday. Nothing. The crowd is just there to appreciate the music. No drama. Try it again, you never know how much you might like it...Sarah
  22. Right there w/ya girl! HOw are you?? Haven't seen you in ages...lol Sarah
