I'm 24 and I've been the scene since I was 16. Thanks for fake IDs. I took 3 years off for art school. I used to hang out at Limelight, Tunnel and Palladium alot. I've seen some really good friends come and go. I got back into the scene sometime in early 99. Twilo was my first club back in with S&D. Then I got back into raves too. I've seen things change, some worse, some better. I gave up going to raves a few months ago. I just don't feel the friendly vibes anymore. I once saw 10 year old getting high. It sickened me. Plus my friends started going to them for the drugs and not for the music. I might give it a rest soon. Right now, I'm making the rounds to see my fav DJ's. When's that done, I might take a break. I've been told I still look like I still graduated from high school. Looks like I can still blend in with the kiddies. It's not how old you are, it's how old you feel. If its a drinking night, I usually spend about $100. It's a rare occasion I go out drinking. Out to clubs, it's usually to Twilo GWB toll - $4 parking - $20 admission - $30 water - $10 About - $64....maybe a little more. Hmmmm....let's see.....the only funny thing that happened to me i was at a rave dancing pretty hard. That night my back gave out. Rest of the night I was sitting down and I didn't really feel the full force of the pain until the next day due to certain things A few weeks ago, I was in Maryland visiting friends and went to Buzz. One of my buddies can break like no one else's buisness. While he was breaking, his knee popped. He's still hurting, can't even walk. I guess I'll be the first one to tell my review I got there as they were letting everyone in. LiquidTodd started spinning. He didn't do anything for me. I couldn' tfeel it. What surprised me that DJ Rap was spinning that night too. I was glad 'cause I saw a while back at Supreme Beings in CT. She kicked ass there. I don't what happened tonight. Maybe it was because they gave her a small amount of time or what. She cranked out of couple tunes that i knew that got me grooving, but it wasn't really her night. Then BT came on. DAMN he was great!!! He did all of my favs, Godspeed, Mercury & Solace, Dreaming, Flaming June, goddamn he was good!! That was cool he played Never come back down. I love that song, stupid lyrics but it's damn cool. Was that M. Doughty with the busted mic?? Was it working? Hehe poor guy The crowd was fairly mixed. A couple of ravers that i knew were there, and some club kids. Was it me or did you also see guys that looked like bikers? I didn't know they were into trance? Usually their into their harleys and listening to the Allman Brothers. One beef I had. I wish it went on longer, 11:30, c'mon. Too early. At least one more hour would've been nice. It'll never happen...Guilliani and the city has other more important thing to worry about. Like the " deadly " virus that's going around, the rat problem, and his own health. How is the club a public nusiance? It's not effecting anyone. The club generates money for the city i.e. tourists. There are many people from other countries that come to visit NYC, and to see this club 'cause of the DJ's and word of mouth. It's the schmucks in city hall and the media who have too much time on their hands. The only reason why the media is into it because they think it can get ratings by doing exposes on why clubs are " bad ". Then there are those who are weak minded and live under a shell that believe the media. City Hall just says clubs are bad so they can divert attention from what's the real problem that they can't fix.
