im graduating next week too with an IT degree. Job market sucks, especially in computers. Im probably going to just get a sales job for a while (pharm sales), its easy money for a recent college grad.

yea im going to go see him this thursday. i think the cover's $10 but I saw passes at Pine Hills for $5 reduced admission. Its worth going there alone for the drink specials and its peters last time up here until the next fall semester.

honestly though even if peters did suck on thursday (i missed it this time) its a good night out if your stuck up here. It honestly is a nice club and can't complain with a cover charge of only $5 to see the likes of peters,vicious, sasha & digweed. even tsettos will be up here, hopefully before I graduate. with huge red bull and vodkas for $5 and $1.50 bottles its worth it to go even if it was a small time DJ, like Marc O, when he did the parties last year. shit i wasted $5 to go to 518 last nite with shitty music and ridicuosly packed. sneaky petes is a good club, definately cool staff who don't treat you like shit like bouncers in the city. moonshine what school are you taking this class at? im at suny albany, the professor has taught in a few different countries too. seriously i hate going to class, especially being a senior, but this class is so interesting, i dont mind being there.

what he said about the going to heaven thing and virgins is sort of true. im takin a terrorism class at school which is very detailed and read a few books on bin laden, muslims, jihad and from what i learned these sick fucks think that by becoming a martyr, allah will reward them in their afterlife if it is a suicide to kill the infidels (americans, isralies). its an extreme interpretation of the koran where some muslims view it that way, others view suicide as a sort of sin but it does say that stuff in it. fuckin nuts, thats why i took this class, to see why all this shit is happening, tv and newspapers portray it a very different way.

I got these from a detective in my family and I have a card with his number on it, trust me I would not sell a card with his badge number on it. its real, its a laminated card, it sells in police stores, it is not official pba card. I also do have an official CHIEF PBA CARD 2002(very rare), Detectives Endowment Associaton card, DEA window decal, Detectives Crime Clinic PBA card for NJ + NY, New Jersey State Police fraternal order of police card and some others. I will take a picture of all of them later tonight and post it up and those who are interested is various cards can PM me. I am upstate and have no need for these cards cause I only get down to the city like twice a year. They are all official NYPD and 2002 year. If anyone has state trooper cards, i would trade in a second or buy them, i flip the cop these up here and they're like wtf??? whats up. I see some of you are in IT jobs. Did you all go to college or just trade schools? Im graduation this may from albany with an IT major/Business Minor. I know a few people that didnt go to school when I was starting college, they did the Devry thing and did get jobs. But that was when the computer market was good and all and anyone with experience could get a job. Now 4 years later the market pretty much sucks. I was told by a few different people in high companies that you need your degree AND either trade school or certifications. I was told to get a degree from college and do the other things, looks much better then just one. Any of you in this situation? I obviously don't have a lot of hands on exp being I was a full time student for 4 years. whats the situation, especially in May when most companies will be hiring college grads.

I had the same problem all summer with my cable modem, with the connection constantly going on and off. I had the stupid tech here 5 times for the problem, they did everything but each time it still didnt fix it. I figured out the problem myself, make sure the line to the modem is a direct connection from your house, not split between your tv. If you use a splitter for some reason it fucks up the signal, the modem is more sensitive with the flow of data or something, make sure its a straight connection from the house.

I wouldnt live in SI if I had a choice of it. It does stink like shit in the summer, or at least in the past, I don't know about now since the dump was closed? I live in Westerleigh and you get a nice whiff of it during hot days in the summers. Im moving to NJ when i get home from school, cheaper to live.

if your using a registered version (the one that lets you save) without the mp3 plugin have all the different tracks that you want to mix lined up exactly then go to EDIT -> Mixdown -> all waves this will mix all the songs into one wav file, save it, then you can burn it as one whole file or use a program to insert cue points for tracks.

It sucks to see that it is hard to get a job in the IT field without concrete experience like someone said. I am a senior IT major at albany and I can't even find any internship lisitings for any IT/networking here upstate. I am doing the A+, and Network+ certs on my own before I graduate in May, hopefully they will help. I wanted to do network administration but everyone wants hands on experience. How do I get that? I don't see many entry-level type jobs for IT. Anyone else here experiencing this? Makes you wonder, a lot of my friends maybe 2-4 years back didn't go to college to get into computer field, now making money, while I waste 4 years to not find a job?? Anyone hiring around May? I will be looking for a job in NYC area. BTW, anyone here do the MCSE 2000 cert? Is it worth it? I'm not sure I want to drop around $9000 to take it when I move back home. Thanks!
