I see a lot of you guys are network admins. I was curious to what degrees you graduated with, from where, and if you have any certifications? I'm currently a senior at albany and a IT major and wondering how the job market is for network admins in the city area? Im thinking about doing the Network+ and A+ certs, do you think its worth it? Im going to be looking for a job when I move back to SI in May. Thanks!

college is definately worth going to. a lot of my boys back home either didn't finish high school or graduated and have full time jobs. they always get upset when I come home and tell them stories about shit that goes on. I wish i picked a better school, i go to Suny albany, its seriously just like high school only away from home. make sure you pick a school that you will have fun in, go visit for a weekend and see the nightlife that goes on. as for the education part, I am a senior and seriously I miss 4 of my 5 classes a week and still have over a 3.0, but i guess thats just albany. good luck.

I just went to Montreal this weekend and went to Aria. Its a very good afterhours club, definately worth checking out. For the beginning of the night check out ST. Laurent street for some good clubs. We had free passes to this place Kokino's, a nice place too.

What up. Anybody who's upstate catch Johnny Vicious at Sneaky Pete's last night? Night was off the hook. The crazy shit was him coming down to the fraternity house for afterhours and giving out autographs and relaxing and chilling with everyone. Never gonna see shit like that again, we are dead in the middle of the ghetto and vicous rolls up with his limo. insane!

yo it seems like there a few other people besides myself stuck up in albany for school. sneaky pete's used to be good when it opened last year when marc o. was DJ'in thursdays. it got way too trashy with all the locals showing up in their low rider pickups. it was mainly suny kids from the city anyway so it used to have a good vibe. whoever posted about goin to ground zero, dont. if u think sneaky petes got trashy you would hate that place. i feel bad for everyone else who's stuck upstate and has a choice of the post or 518. fuck it off to sadie's for happy hour. anyone goin to see vicious on sat nite pm me. peace

peters did not pull the amount of money he makes at like SF, when he did sneaky petes last thursday. sneaky petes is honestly a really nice club for upstate, shit vicious is coming here to spin. That place does not pull a big profit at all, my friend was resident there thursday's last year, but where else can you go and see peters and drink $1.50 molson's all night long. albany sucks!

cooledit is definately one of the best programs to use for editing. I had to do a presentation on it for my IT class and I learned it fully in 2 nights. hit up www.cracks.am and search for it, it will give u a link to where you can find it and download it.

Im sure someone here knows the answer on how to do this? Im not sure what to do as in contacting the club, etc.. I dont want to sub-promote for anyone, just to run my own list. Here's my situation: Im looking to run my own list for various clubs/bars's in NYC, Long Island, NJ, etc.., kinda like how this site has its own list and people sign up throught the Internet. My friend used to work with Brown Crew promotions back in the day but I haven't had a chance to talk with him in a while. Anyways what do I do? Do I just call the club and say I want to run a list (i have a good shot of a decent amount of people using the list). Do you usually have to show up there to pick up stuff? And I know about clubs screwing you with the money/# of people showing up on your list, you always get underpaid. My thing is I only get down to the city maybe once a month. How does getting paid work, as in how do you find out how many people used your list and where to collect the money or can it be mailed to you. I know a lot of people on here promote and Im not interested in doing it for anyone else, just a list for myself. Thanks a lot!

For a good cheap hotel look at the Comfort Inn on Crescent Street. It is dead in the middle of everything plus the bars and lounges on crescent are great. Its a good place to start out the night then head down ST. Catherine street for afterhours at Stereo or Sona. Everythings cheap and you get your taxes back when you leave.

I can easily upload to the account but how do you download the tracks. I can play them fine but cant download them it always comes up as download.jsp or something when i click the blue button. I cannot download the actual mp3 file? any help?

yea i got shit I want to unload. I have a system for my car that I need to get rid of, its got a 4 year guarantee from best buy, but I need the money. got a ticket like 5 months ago for doing 96 on the thruway up to college. my insurance blew up about $1200 because of it. i usually dont drive that fast but i blame the system and club cd's on my reckless driving...

Seeing that most of the people on here work actual full time jobs in Manhattan, etc.., know of any internships openings this summer? I actually am in Albany but will be living in staten island for the summer this year and asking to see if anyone know's of any paid openings, in computers, information technology, etc.. I am a current junior at Suny Albany, figure its worth a shot. peace

Like one of the posts above says get the Sound Blaster live mp3 card, actually its about 74.99 at best buy. Great card, also if you got around 60$ go to Atomixmp3.com and buy that program. The card has 2 line inputs, hook your mixer up to it and you can make great sounding mixes (for people like me who cant match beats correctly). Actually the program has everything, it was made by a dj in europe i think, you can load mp3's, it matches all the songs with beats etc... very good. peace
