  1. Shaolin shadowboxing.... and the Wu-Tang sword style. If what you say is true... the Wu-Tang could be dangerous. Do you think your Wu-Tand sword can defeat me? - On guard! I'll let you try my Wu-Tang style! Plus, I've actually watched "The 36 Chambers" in its entirety -- call me a sap, but I love that shit. ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. 2. The first time I saw it was on video -- heck, EVERY time I've seen it has been on video (VHS, no less). Hence my barely-contained excitement......... KANEEEEDA! ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." AIM: vvRMR , EMAIL: vejita1975@hotmail.com
  3. Sober or stoned, first-timer or avid anime connoisseur -- I don't think anybody really gets Akira. Well, maybe the Japanese do -- I'm sure the comic series fleshed out things a bit better than what we saw in the movie. Even so -- I'm not a huge fan of the abstract, and yet this movie still fascinates me after all these years. I first saw it at an Anime convention a number of years ago; I've probably seen it close to 25 times since then. And I still have to wonder -- where is Kaneda now? ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." AIM: vvRMR , EMAIL: vejita1975@hotmail.com
  4. Do the words "lysergic acid diethylamide" mean anything to you? ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." AIM: vvRMR , EMAIL: vejita1975@hotmail.com
  5. Heheh. As Furnace knows, Wu-Tang is my first and only favorite rap group. "36 Chambers" was amazing..... http://mitglied.tripod.de/alpha3000/WU-TANG_-_Lyrix_-_Bring_Da_Ruckus.htm And if that doesn't make you feel like a hardcore, pipe-wielding gangsta, nothing will. Many the timem, I rode up the hill @ college with Wu-Tang blasting..... yes, I'm skinny, and white and I know it. But you gotta have fun sometimes...... ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." AIM: vvRMR , EMAIL: vejita1975@hotmail.com
  6. Shadow -- Nah, it's in Times Square, the AMC Empire. It goes from Friday until Thursday...... I can't wait to hear "Winds Over Neo-Tokyo" (the theme that plays during the wack-ass toy dolls scene) on some kickass speakers....... ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." AIM: vvRMR , EMAIL: vejita1975@hotmail.com
  7. He might be, but he might not.... you know how things go with the crew. I need to get my mitts on one of those posters, too -- I saw one while walking down by Satellite Records a few nights ago. ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." 8. For all you anime fans -- Akira is being re-released! Pioneer picked it up, restored the original film and is gonna be showing it nationally during the next few weeks. Then, in September, it'll finally be available in DVD format. Check the move at http://www.pioneeranimation.com -- I'll be going to see it at some point this weekend. With any luck, I'll be able to go to the opening..... ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." AIM: vvRMR , EMAIL: vejita1975@hotmail.com
  9. Heh. This was mostly harmless, but true story -- I was pulling up to a drive-thru Burger King window in upstate NY (Hamilton, outside of Utica) and was ready to order. And the woman who was taking my order actually asked me: "Do you want that to go?" A-DUH! ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." 10. I liked Warren, although he wasn't nearly as good as Sander's set, IMHO. He had one or two trainwrecks (meep-meep... WHAM!) that kinda put the brakes on things. On the other hand, I was pretty impressed with Sander -- he kept me moving around for most of his set, and provided a few breaks to catch my breath, too. I think the best part was the vibe -- there weren't that many (if any) overglitzed girls with pocket books, or super-crackfiends (fat guy with shorts and those shapes) milling about. It was crowded at first, but cleared up quite nicely by the time Sander jumped on the turntables. And everybody was remarkably friendly -- I chatted a bit with a few people that I met, danced around with a few others..... it was just fun. ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. 11. If you like foo-foo drinks, try a Mint Mudslide -- a regular mudslide with a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream, and just a bit of mint schnapps, mainly for taste. Another goodie is hot cocoa with mint schnapps.... There seems to be a pattern developing here..... ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." 12. Is this 21+? If not, I don't think I'll be going. I went to that same venue last year, and it's sketchy -- hard to get a cab all the way up there, and not someplace you'd like to be milling about for too long -- but the party (Tsunami-thrown) was amazing. It was 21+, which I think made all the difference in the world. I'm getting a bit tired of seeing all the strung-out kids at the raves I go to....... ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." 14. I saw him in Amsterdam on March 9th, and I thought he was excellent! He was more on the trance side of the fence, but his music had a definite hard edge to it, and he had some badass build-ups to boot. I actually didn't stay to hear much of Sander at that same place (Milkweg); he started off too slow for me, while Nick was already laying the sound down. I'm hoping he starts off better tonight..... ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." 19. Buttercup, or "B-Cup" for short. She has a sensitive side (like the time she fell for Ace), but she can whip some ass, too. And she's not _too_ girly (ie Bubbles). ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." AIM: vvRMR , EMAIL: vejita1975@hotmail.com

  21. The subways are my mode of transport these days. But a few scant months ago, I bought a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon -- cobalt-blue, my fave color. I've only seen a few Tiburons on the road in the US -- apparently, they're pretty big in Europe and the Middle East, where they're used mainly as taxi cabs. Had it decked out -- two-tone leather seats, p1mpin' stereo and sunroof. Sold it when I moved here, of course...... ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." 25. I've been considering hitting this, as well -- Koxbox was great when he spun at the Tsunami roller rink party in Harlem last June. Infected Mushroom is good shyt, too........ ------------------ -=Vejita=- "Live through the week. Live for the weekend." AIM: vvRMR , EMAIL: vejita1975@hotmail.com
