i remember one of the record shops being on washington, not exactly sure where though. where on biscayne will you be coming from? i would say that it's at least a 20min drive to SoBe, and expect the ride to be significantly longer if you're driving on collins at night.

my 1st trip to wmc was about 5yrs ago, and we drove from philly. what hell that was. 5 of us in a minivan for 22hours straight (taking only abour 3 15minute reststop breaks). the drive back was even worse and seemed to take longer. it'll be an even longer drive from nyc... there are probably still some cheapish flights available. i would look into that and fly instead. driving from the northeast is insane.
