last couple of years i stayed at the Flamingo Condos (on bay rd) and there were a couple of supermarkets around that area. one is near the end of lincoln road mall called Epicure (17 and alton). it's more of a gourmet food store and can cost ya $$$. the other one is called Wild Oats, which is almost like Whole Foods (10 and alton).

depends where on collins it is. if you're actually staying in south beach, you should be fine. space and a few other clubs though are downtown which would require a taxi ride.

this will be my 5th (i think) year going and i do agree its lost the intial spark tho. such as most things, they change some for the worse some for better. and you either acclimate yourself to the change or just say that its not your thing anymore. last year w/ it coinciding with spring break, i must say, was a huge turnoff for me. the whole vibe down there seemed very uhmmm... "meat market"-like. you could almost instantly identify someone who was there for the conf and someone who was there just on spring break. nevertheless, i still enjoyed my time down there immensely.

get there early! last yr i went to the naked party (i think?) at nikki and the place was PACKED. we got there around 3pm w/ hardly a wait in line. when we left 2-3 hours later (it was just way too crowded in there), the line was all over the parking lot and barely moving.

true... ive also heard that using a sunless tanner before ya go will cut down on burn once ya get down to miami. i'm going to try this out in a few weeks
