  1. i so can't miss this one. went to the soulfuric/moulton studios party 2 yrs ago - cant wait for this one!
  2. sounds kinda like my situation the ex and i broke up a couple of weeks before WMC last yr. this year i'm going w/ my current bf and a few of my friends. it's the 1st year i'm bringing a sig. other with me. should be interesting
  3. you mean the price for registering? if you're not in the industry and you're not planning to network hardcore that week, there's no point in registering
  4. lookin forward to derrick carter and lego!
  5. i registered the 2nd year i went and what a waste of $ that was. - didnt really get anything out of the seminars/panels/workshops - getting into parties free? ha! maybe if you arrived at the door before 10pm - music awards were OK, but nothing spectacular - the only good thing about having a badge was being able to sit poolside while DJs spun
  6. i'm getting totally sick of this 15F degree weather. in less than 2 months tho, i'll be in south beach for the WMC
  7. per day... well, i'd say to be safe, around 150$/day (more if you're an alcoholic ). that should take care of food, clubs, drinking, local transportation. i usually manage to do some shopping while i'm down there, so i bring about 1000$
  8. 100$/night or less? wow... good luck on finding that kind of rate. there's not much difference between staying on ocean and collins. you'll probably want to stay somewhere 15th and below though. i'm staying at the roney... found a deal on expedia for about 600$/pp 5 nights including airfare PHL - MIA
  9. for those of you whove stayed here before... i've heard that the fridges in the rooms have sensors in them and if you move things around, they'll charge you. why do the rooms have kitchens in them if all they include in it is a microwave and no fridge? will they "lend" you a mini-fridge?
  10. i've been having to deep condition my hair almost every day recently due to the cold weather. cutting down on blow-drying/flat-ironing my hair on the weekends (or other days i dont need to be too "dressed" for work) also seems to help a bit. still though, some days i feel like just putting my hair up in a ponytail b/c all that static in my hair makes me look as if i stuck my finger in an electrical socket
  11. i agree w/ kitty for the most part some other trends i'd like *not* to see continue in 2004: - pink. i was over-pink-ified in 2003 and hope this color goes out soon. i see orange tones making their comeback. - out-to-there pointed toe shoes. weren't they even out on their way in? useful if you wanna get to those hard to reach roaches hiding in corners though. i'd like to see less dramatic toed shoes - wide-legged pants. gawd, they've been "in" for over a decade now. enough already! - burberry bags. i see them everywhere nowadays. they're almost as played out as those LV bags.
  12. erm... no thanks
  13. the 1st time i went to wmc (1998 i think), i drove down with a bunch of people. 22hrs to get there, taking only three 15min stops on the way. what a waste of time. fly down there instead. flights PHL - MIA are still under 300$ now. i'm flying on american, 5 - 10 march for 278$
  14. "already 7 weeks away"... still a little early in the game
  15. 90s trends i could deal w/ not ever seeing again: platforms wide legged pants the whole candy-raver thing and capris on guys!
